With baskets of bread and pastries both in my hands, I trekked alongside Amara, Lilac and Anthony. People walked towards the same direction, probably headed to the festival as well. The afternoon skies are clear blue. The soft breeze is warm. Hand in hand, people carried woven baskets for the town’s festival.
“Do you need a hand”? A soft voice asked from behind me. I glanced at Lilac who was now on my right side. “No, thank you. Got it covered.” I dismissed while gently lifting the baskets, signifying that they didn’t weigh too much. “Alright.” She smiled.
