Ezia was unresponsive in my arms as I set her down on the bed in her room. A kind maid pointed me to where it was, although I was stopped a couple of times by her parent's staff to ask me some questions. I couldn't exactly blame them. In their eyes, they saw a suspicious outsider carrying their Don's crying omega daughter. I gently covered Ezia with her blanket, but goosebumps had already broken throughout her body. Her fingers felt cold—too cold—and she was shivering nonstop. Low mewling sounds escaped her mouth from time to time like she was having a bad dream.
