Phoebe’s POV
The day the radiation hit I was at home from working. I managed a small women’s boutique in downtown Phoenix. I was spending my day off with my dog, Miles. I loved this city and this hot desert area a lot. I was just that kind of person that liked the heat. I know crazy right?
I had just gotten back from walking Miles, and was in the kitchen getting something out to eat when I felt the ground shake beneath my feet. I had no idea what was going on and earthquakes were unusual for this area so I tried to turn the TV on. Nothing was working. All the electricity was off. I checked my cell phone to find there was no service either.
