I see Hiram sitting beside he, his head in his hand. I stare at him, but he can’t see me because well his head is buried in his hand.
After a while he looks up and gets startled,
“Did I wake you up?”, he asks.
I just shake my head for a no. I can’t talk to him, I am disgusted.
He touches my cheek lightly,
“Hey, Luna, talk to me please, don’t ignore me. I just want to tell you how sorry I am, I realise that I was wrong, and I would go and surrender myself to the police.”
I look at him, “So, why are you here Hiram, huh? Go already. I rather have you in the prison than here”
He leans in, “Luna, listen to me. You are injured and your mom is alone at home. I can’t leave you like this”
“Don’t you dare say that Hiram, I know how much you care, so you better go away now”
