MARIA POV The car ride to the college was one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life. Henry and Daxton sat up front, completely silent, with matching scowls plastered on their faces. It was like being trapped in a car with two toddlers who’d had their favorite toy taken away. Except these toddlers were six feet of muscle and intimidation, and their anger radiated off them in waves.
