Jayson was eager to listen to the general's story; he could see the pain in the man's eyes as he spoke, narrating how he had lost his family in a tragic accident and how he had been lonely since then. The general went on to tell Jayson that he was the only family he had now and that he was happy and proud to have saved and brought him home after finding him by the side of the river. After the little chat, the general wished Jayson good luck on the next round of the training commencing by dawn.
