"Are you even listening to me?" His voice is less than a foot away from me.
I take a deep breath before turning around. Why can't the earth just swallow me right about now?
"You were saying?" I try to sound nonchalant even though I'm about to lose it.
He c***s his head to one side.
"Are you okay?"
"Never been better." I snap sarcastically.
"Wow. I almost forgot you were pregnant. I guess I'll have my secretary Google on how to handle a pregnant woman."

He pulls his sleek cell phone from his pocket and I growl at him before snatching it from his grasp.
