Gabrielle's POV
I wake up to another day and I pray of course to thank God for today before anything else.
I did my usual routine.
I took a shower, got dressed, ate breakfast, made lunch and drove to school.
I smiled as I made my way to my room excited to see my friend, Mika.
My smile faded when I see her being surrounded by 3 girls.
Or should I say bullies?
One of them is Emily, of course.
"So, where's your btch friend huh?" Emily said and was about to yank on Mika's hair but I hold her by the wrist.
"Leave Mika alone" I said calmly. Emily pulled her arm back and glared at me.
"The new girl is acting up" she chuckled and pointed at me.
"You really shouldn't be doing that, you know" she said with a smirk.
"Doing the right thing, you mean?" I said with a smile. She chuckled.
"This should teach you what the right thing is" she said and raised her hand to slap me but someone held her hand and stopped him.
"Stop it, Emily" the guy told her.
"Tobi?" she said and then her eyes shift to another person.
"Alex" she said softly and pulled her hand back.
"Babe, look at this new girl. She must think she's so great" she whined as she linked onto Alexander's arm.
He glared at her and pulled his arm leaving a shock expression on Emily's face.
"Leave" Alexander told her. She still look baffled.
"I said leave!" he shouted making the bullies' eyes widen and they scurry away and out of the room.
"And you" he said and turned to me.
"Come with me" he commanded. I ignored.
"Thank you. Tobias is it?" I said turning to the guy who stopped Emily. He looked at me and stared for a moment before looking away.
"Just call me Tobi" he said. I smiled.
"Okay, Tobi. Thank you" I said with a smile earning a blush from him.
Tobias Anderson.
"Are you ignoring me?" Alex hissed at me and grabbed me by the wrist. I look at him.
"Let me go" I said calmly.
"Dude, I think---" Tobias tried to tell him.
"Shut up, Tobi. I need to talk to her" he hissed and dragged me outside the room.
If I'm being honest, it would be really easy to free myself from his grip.
But I didn't do it. I chose not to.
We go into an empty door and he slams the door shut.
"What are you trying to do?!" he hissed at me.
I knew what he was talking about.
I can read his thoughts after all.
"What do you mean?" I act innocent.
I am innocent though.
"My sister won't talk to me anymore because of you!" he said angrily. I sigh.
I'm sure Bella and Brooke are doing it because they're upset that Alexander is trying to make them stay away from me.
I never did anything wrong.
"Should I talk to her? To them? +" I said softly and I'm sure he didn't expect that reply.
"What?" he spat. I smiled at him.
"I'll go and try to talk to your sisters if they have any problems. Would that be okay?" I ask him making him more confused.
"Look, Alexander. I know you're not very fond of me but there's no reason for you to think that I'm up to no good. I'll stay away as far as possible from you if that makes you happy but you can't influence other people to feel the same way you feel about me. I hope you understand that. I really have nothing on you so please just calm down" I said giving him a last smile and I walked passed him leaving the room.
Class started and I went on with my morning classes.
For lunch, I met up with Mika again but this time, Bella joined us.
Bella is a year younger than us.
We talked about random things and I can see how happy Mika is to have Bella as her new friend too.
"Bella" I called her softly after we finished eating.
"Yes?" she replied.
"Is everything okay with your brother?" I ask her. She frowned and bit her lower lip.
"He told me to stay away from you" she whined.
"Stupid brother" she added. I chuckled.
"You didn't even do anything wrong. Right?" she said pouting.
"Right. Still, I understand where he's coming from. I hope you talk to him again soon, Bella" I told her. She sighed.
"You're so understanding. My brother is basically just an ass. It definitely was never a good idea to think he could date you" she said. I chuckled.
"How about you, Mika? Do you have any love interest?" Bella playfully nudged Mika. She blushed.
"I don't have any" she admitted.
"Why not? I think you're really pretty though" Bella said making Mika's eyes sparkle in joy.
"You think so?" Mika said. Bella nodded.
"Of course. A little makeover will surely make the boys fall head over heels for you" Bella stated.
"I think Mika is still beautiful no matter what" I said. Bella nodded.
"True but would you want to try to switch up a little Mika? It'll be a fun experience and definitely a good bonding opportunity for us" Bella suggested.
"Maybe some other time. We can bond through other activities" Mika blushed and Bella nodded.
We left the cafeteria and had our last set of classes.
Then Bella, Mika and I met up.
"I have cheerleading practice. Do you guys want to watch me?" Bella asked. Mika and I look at each other.
"Pleaseee?" she pleaded holding our arms. We chuckle and just nod.
Bella changed her clothes and we headed to the bleachers in the field where Bella will practice with the other cheerleaders.
The cheerleaders and football athletes went to the field to start practice and Bella waved at us.
Mika waved back at her excitedly and I smile at her.
Everyone started their practice and Mika and I watch the cheerleaders do their routine.
Sometimes Mika watches the football practice but I don't even bother to watch the sport.
"Elle" Mika called me nervously. I look at her worried.
"I think Alex and his friends are on their way here" she pointed out. I sighed.
I hope not.
"Don't worry about them. We came here for Bella but if you feel uncomfortable, let me know and we'll leave immediately" I told her. She nodded still nervous.
"Hi, Elle" someone said and I looked. It's Tobi.
"Hey, Tobi" I said with a smile. Tobi smiled and turned to look at Alexander who is currently glaring at me.
Here we go again.
"I thought you said you were going to stay away from me" he said.
"Bella asked us to watch her. I'm watching Bella, not you and you came over here. I didn't come to you. Not my fault now, is it?" I pointed out. Tobi burst out laughing.
"Dude, she's right. You're so conceited" he teased Alexander. He glared at him and walked away.
He's always in an off mood.
I just don't get him.
"Don't mind him, Elle. Anyway, how did you think of our practice?" he asked.
"I didn't watch. I was focused on them since I was watching Bella" I said pointing to the cheerleaders. He mad an 'oh' expression.
"You really actually meant you were just watching Bella. Just Bella" he chuckled. I nodded.
"Don't you like football?" he asked curiously.
"It's okay, I guess" I told him making him chuckle.
"You should watch our game this Friday" he suggested. I looked at Mika.
"Oh yeah. Uhm...Mika, right? You two should watch together. I'm sure Bella would appreciate it too. She'll cheer for the game with the cheer squad" he said. Mika and I looked at each other. She nods at me.
"Sure, Tobi. We'll watch" I told him. He smiled widely.
What could go wrong?
Well, a lot of things but let's try and be positive this time.
"Great. I'll see you girls there" he said and I nodded.
"I think he has a crush on you" Mika suddenly said.
"Who? Tobi?" I said.
Mika nodded.
I chuckled.
"Why do you think that?" I asked.
"Because it's pretty obvious" she said.
"Tobi is just nice, I think" I told her.
Mika shook her head.
"Tobi IS nice but I'm pretty sure he hasa crush on you. I'm actually quite certain about it" she said.
"Why are you so certain about it?" I asked.
"Because every guy has a crush on you and I don't think Tobi is an exception" she said.
I slightly chuckled.
"Not every guy" I said.
"I mean, how could they not? You're perfect, Elle" she said.
I smiled and shook my head.
"I'm not. No one is perfect except God. Not even me" I told her.
Then, Bella finished with her cheerleader practice and we met up with her by the bleachers.
"I don't want to go home yet" she said with a pout.
"Why not?" I asked.
"Just cause" she said.
Bella didn't want to meet Alexander back at home. That's what she was thinking.
I sighed.
"Do you guys need to go home already? Can't we watch a movie before going home? Pretty please with a cherry on top?" she said batting her lashes at me and Mika.
Mika and I chuckled.
"I should let my parents know first. How about you, Elle?" Mika said.
"I'm good to go whenever you guys are" I said.
Bella squealed excitedly as she held onto us.
We took my car and drove to Mika's house.
Mika asked permission first and then we left for the movies.
It was a very spontaneous trip and J didn't know what to expect of it.
Just like how I don't know what to expect from the game I was invited you.
Still, I'll probably make the best of it.
We watched a random movie and kept giggling amd laughing together the whole movie.
Thankfully it was a very wholesome movie and I genuinely enjoyed it more than I expected.
It was right to make the best of the situation.
