Chapter Eleven: Dominate Males

I flinched, Dane's hand on my waist curling to hold me. "We weren't home." He assured. "I'm guessing he followed your scent back here after seeing you in the halls and you smelt of us."

I nodded. "You think he'll try again?"

As if on cue, a knock sounded at the door.

Xavier rose. "And that'll be the Ravens."

My eyes widened as he opened the door and a woman stepped in, her hair of black ink cascading down her back on white skin and a flowing dress just as black as her hair.

She seemed to move with the wind, and her eyes fell on me, seeing my curiosity in her.

"Foxen," she greeted, bowing at me.

I giggled then looked to see Theo standing and waiting for her.

Dane chuckled, coming and sitting beside me and taking the bag to look through it.

"You can keep them, honey." He said softly, pulling out another near-destroyed book of Grimm fairytales. "But I think we can find you some newer copies to use for reading and we'll keep your originals in the personal library." He smiled at me, waiting for my response to the offer.
