There was no sense of movement, but images of the exterior of the ship, filling one of the walls of the room, showed the green planet receding as they climbed into the sky. Then the glow of the ship pulsed as a voice spoke. The familiar thrill of hearing Omn"s voice sent a quiver of pleasure through Malleus. Lilith clearly felt it too: she looked around in wonder. Selene was unmoved, lying on the floor like a discarded doll. “Selene Ada,” said the voice. At her name, Selene looked troubled for a moment, as if disturbed by some memory, but she didn"t answer.
