Sunday - Two Weeks Later
Over the next two weeks, Laura dutifully served the s****l needs of the three men. Saturday was her husband’s day. She cooked and cleaned for him, making sure his clothes were pressed and new black shoes were shined for church the next day. She waited on him like a servant with humility and grace. She never spoke to him as he put the finishing touches on his sermon, but sat at his feet with head bowed down. Roger felt like the Lord of his castle. He could not believe his luck to be married to such a young pretty and obedient wife whose only thought was to be his helpmate, to serve her husband, just as the bible instructed her to do.
