CHAPTER FIFTEEN The next morning, Rebecca and Sutter decided to check out the relationship between Meaghan Bishop and Supervisor Mark O'Brien. The two detectives drove to O'Brien's stately home in a quiet, wealthy neighborhood edging the Presidio. Rebecca rang the doorbell and a woman answered. “Is Mr. O'Brien in?” Rebecca asked as she and Sutter identified themselves. The woman was a maid, and she led them into the living room. She lit the fireplace and they waited beside it until O'Brien entered the room.
