Chapter - 1

(Roy P.O.V)

I hear my alarm ring and, I shut it off. I get up from my bed and stretch my body for a few minutes. I b wash my face and brush my teeth and walk in the kitchen, I grab a bottle of water and take a sip of it. I prepare my protein drink and kept it in the fridge to cool down. I grab the water bottle, my headphones,  mobile, house keys, and wear my running shoes to go for my morning run.

Hello, everyone, My name is Roy Adams, I am the CEO of Adams enterprises and I have just taken it over after my father retired from the post. I am 28 years old, I have raven hair and onyx eyes. My father wanted to pass the company to my big brother Ethan Adams but he passes it over to since he was addicted to drugs and alcohol. My father tried to help him by sending him to the habitation but he started again, so my father gives up on him and passes over the company to me. It has been more than 3 years since I become the CEO of my father's company.

After running for an hour I go back to my mansion and goes to the gym to do my daily work out. After working out for an hour I finish my protein drink and goes to my room, to take a shower and get ready for the office. I take a long hot shower, dried myself, get dressed, and walk inside the kitchen to see Emma, my nanny who had looked after me when my mother passes away when I was only 5 years ago due to cancer.

"Good morning Emma," I greeted her with a kiss on her cheek and a smile on my face.

"Good morning, Roy, what would you like to eat for breakfast?" she asks smiling at me.

"I would eat whatever you made for me, you know I am not a picky person," I said smiling at her and seat on the chair. I open my mobile and checks go through the mail while Emma c***s my breakfast. After some time she serves me Omlet and french toast with coffee.

I finish my breakfast and walks out of my mansion, I get inside the car and drove to my office.

"Good morning, sir, today you have a meeting with Mr. Brain and he is waiting for you in the conference room, lunch meeting with Mr. Royal and then you have a meeting in your conference room at 4: oo pm and the contract you have told me to prepare are ready to sigh sir," Mr. Dawson my secretary informs me. I walk inside the conference room with my secretary behind me. We greeted each other with a handshake and directly come to the business. The meetings go on for two hours and finally signed the deal.

"Thank you, Mr. Brain, for doing business with us," I said standing from my seat and walking towards them.

"It's an honor to do business with you, Mr. Adams, I hope you stand up to our expectations like your dad because I wanted to look forward to doing more business with you, " Mr. Brain said smiling at me.

"Me too, Mr. Brain me too," I said and walk him out of the conference room. We chat for some time and then he walks towards the elevator and disappears from my sight. I walk towards my office to do some paperwork. I order my secretary to get me a cup of coffee and started going through the paper works.

"I have told you--" Derek said coming inside my office without knocking the door with his laptop in his hands.

"How many times did I have to tell you did not come to my office without knocking the door," I said to him getting irritated by his old habits.

"And how many times did I have told you that someone is smuggling drugs and weapons using our shipments," Derek said while running his hands through his hair in frustration. Derek Anderson is my best friend and manages all the import and export activities in the shipments.

"Do you have any evidence to prove it?" I ask him.

"Yes," he said and put his laptop in front of me.

*In Video*

Some people wearing a t-shirt of Adams enterprises without the company ID card wrapping the weapons and loading it in the boxes. While some people were unloading the truck material which looks like a white powder and packing in the boxes.

 Some people put the boxes in the carrier and loaded it in the ships.

"For how long are they doing this behind my back?" I ask him in horror.

"I found out about it before 6 months, that is only when I go back to get my phone back when I forgot it in my office. When I tried to find about it in the CCTV, it didn't record anything," he said to me.

"They would have someone hack the CCTV camera and remove the videos," I said to him.

"I thought that, that why I give all the employees a day off and get some CCTV's attached on the port, somewhere they weren't able to find out," he said to me.

"How long do you think this is going on behind our back before you found out about it," I ask him and a shrug is all I got from him. I sigh and call my secretary.

"Dawson cancels all my meetings and arranges a meeting with David," I said to him.

"Okay sir, anything else?" he asks me.

"No, that's all, thank you, Dawson," I said and hang upon him.

"So what are you going to do now?" He asks me.

"Do you remember David Richard?" I ask him.

"Yes, the one who tried to suicide and you stop him and help him to take his revenge and built his own business?" he asks me.

"Yes, he owns me a favor and he had and detective agency, I will talk to him and hire best detectives he had," I said to him, we talk for some time and walks out of there.

"Tring string," I heard my phone ring and I pick it up to see its Dawson, my secretary.

"Yes, Dawson," I said on the phone.

"Sir, I have arranged your meeting with Mr. Richard. It's on 5:00 pm, today," he informed me. 

"Thank you, Dawson," I said and hang upon him. The time passes attending office meetings and going through paper works. I look at my watch to see it was 4:30 pm, I grab my car keys, my laptop and walks out of my office. It takes 2o minutes for me to reach there. 

"I have an appointment with Mr. Richard at 5:oo pm," I said to the receptionist.

"Your name sir?" she asks me.

"Roy Adams," I said to her.

"He is busy in the meeting, he will be here in 5 minutes can you wait here, for some time?" she asks me.

"Sure," I said and sit in the lobby. after 10 minutes he comes out of a meeting with someone, they shake hands and other person walks out of the room and David walks towards me.

"Long time no see, man," he said shaking hands with me.

"Sorry man, but I was busy with work and all," I said smiling at him.

"Busy in work or bedding the girls?" he asks and we both laugh at his bad jokes.

"Anyway, come inside," he said opening the door of his office for me.

"What would you like to have, tea, coffee, beer, or anything else?" he asks while sitting beside me.

"Beer, please," I said to him.

"Lilly, please send two bottles of beer in my office,"  he said in the intercom and then look at me.

"So how did I own this pleasure?" he asks and I tell him everything.

"So let me guess, you want me to give you my best agent to find out who is doing all this behind your back?" he asks me and I nodded my head at him. Then we heard a knock on the door.

"Come in," he said and his secretary comes with two bottles of beer in a tray, she kept in desk and walks out of the room.

"That would be great, don't worry I will pay his/her cost, I just want to be done it, if the news about my company dealing with drugs spread out then you know what will happen, and the person I trust to keep it concealed is you," I said taking the sip of my beer.

"Don't worry about it, no word will be able to get out of this office, and I have a perfect person for this case, conclude it's done, " he said smiling at me. We talk for some more time than I greet him my farewell and walks out of his feeling a heavy burden removed from my shoulders.
