Madeline entered Lady Delilah's chambers by pushing open the large door.
The woman had summoned her, and now she was here.
Madeline closed the door behind her slowly, not wanting to make a fuss, a smile creeping up her lips at the reminder that her last visit here hadn't been in vain.
She marched deeper into the room with her head held high.
Her eyes scanned the luxurious four-walled room, and Madeline's smile quickly faded as she realized she wasn't the only one in the room.
