1-Part One (Handler POV)

938 Words
Eyes wild, hair in mangled knots, she was a mess. Scraped knees, bruises running up and down her arms, her lip was split in three different places. The orphanage was never kind to any of the children who lived here. Why should they be? They have to try pass supernaturals as human in order to start the process of infiltration. The witches had a hell of a time taming this one though. Sent by the Master on High himself, she had big plans ahead of her. Abyzou, the name bestowed to her from her father. The one who brings miscarriages, stillbirth and infant mortality. Its hard to believe a little girl of 8 would end up being the bringer of infant destruction, so innocent she looked. Yet she would, the minute she turned 21, and she would have no choice. Her natural instinct would draw her to women, pregnant women, it would draw her to places of birth and her presence would cause widespread destruction. She had no idea her power, the power given to her as the first decendant of the Master in eons. Ungrateful little wench. She deserved every lash, every hit, every bruise that graced her demonic little body. The instructions that came with her said to ensure she goes to a normal home, receives a normal name, never disclosing her true name, so she can be raised in obscurity until the moon rises on her 18th birthday. She was not to be altered, changed or mixed with any halfbreed bloodline, such as the vampires or werewolves. Any such breech in contract would earn the orphanage a visit from Him. The caretakers would be destroyed and rebuilt with less cognition and less freedom. Her placement would be with the humans, known to us as the damned. Humans were a fickle species, always doing good, or trying to anyway, thinking somehow they will go to this magical place upon death. Unfortunately for them, we made the success rate rather low. In part, we released specialized demons to ensure they turned to Him for salvation. We wanted the humans indebted to us, owing us their lives in exchange for something so petty as having a child. Abyzou was meant to cause such despair, the humans would turn to us to ensure their babies were born, in turn, they'd be indebted to us. It really was quite a flawless plan. After the humans owed us everything, we would take everything, destroying every species on earth and bringing the underworld above ground to roam as we see fit. The Legions would be unleashed, and those humans lucky enough to escape with their lives would be slave horses to build our new empires. The Legions lay in wait, anxious and excited for the day they could feed, greedily, sucking the life out of every breathing being the angels had bestowed life upon. Looking down at this little creature, knowing she would turn the tides in the ethereal battle, my hand slapped across her face. Nothing quite like the reward of a good punishment to end a day of torture and despair. It felt peaceful using violence to fulfill the dark joy I felt in my heart. I had been promised a transfer to the Legion should I fulfill my duty in keeping Abyzou pure, in guiding her darkness so she would unleash The Kiss of Hell on earth without so much as lifting a finger. The most perfect weapon. This little demon was a pure blood, far more so than any other little wench here. She had no idea the limitless capacity of her powers, she didn't even know she wasn't human. She thought she was a weak, helpless little human. As such, one day she will be placed with a weak, helpless, human family. These humans would keep her in the dark of her powers until they became overwhelming. None of the orphans here were ever really placed with any family, most certainly never with a supernatural one. Each of these "orphans" served a purpose for the Master. We had vampires, werewolves, half demons, each one created to cause chaos and destruction so the humans had no choice but to revel in despair and beg for mercy. The dragons were a wild card. The only species strong enough to challenge an angel and win, but they didn't know that and as such they would perish with the rest. Abyzou, though, was the key to winning this overly long, exhausting and eternal battle against the angels. The ultimate destruction of the species created in His image. c*****e, rage, darkness would rain up, through the earth, lighting everything ablaze with the hatred of millenia. This little demon princess, born with a soul so dark, she had no idea her very presence could strike fear into even the most powerful army, gazed up at me with the innocence of a human child. She cowered at my feet and I grabbed her hair and dragged her to her basement cage. Removing my glamor, I grinned in her face, delighting as fear filled her eyes and she screamed. This was beginning to shape up to a wonderfully dark and delightful morning, as the lock clicked, sending Abyzou into the darkness of nightmares. Note from the author: unless specified as a differing POV (point if view), all chapters will be written from the protragonists point of view. This novel will be dark and push the boundaries of the supernatural world, but it will also be filled with the whims of romance, love and redemption. A humanistic touch to an otherwise dark beginning of earthly destruction.
