Chapter Thirty Five
“Back to life”
When I open my eyes, however, I’m back in the room. My previously baby sister is sitting next to me.
I look into her eyes. They’re just like mine.
“Juniper? You brought me back?”
I pull her in for a crushing hug.
“Of course I did, babygirl. I would do anything for you.”
We stay up and talk until dawn. That’s when Ian and mom and dad walk in, presumably to check on me.
“HOLY f*****g s**t! VERA, IS THAT YOU? MY GOD!” Ian yells, running over and wrapping Vera into a hug. She looks slightly scared, and suddenly water splashes into Ian’s face. I look around to see the perpetrator but can’t see anyone. s**t, it must have been me. I didn’t like what he was doing, so I stopped.
I’m going to need to work on this.
