Chapter Twenty Nine
“I need you”
Juniper POV
My body wakes up before my mind. The bed I’m on is familiar- but doesn’t hold too many comfortable memories. I’m lying on my side, and strong arms encircle me from behind.
“I know you’re awake, love.”
“So you do have an IQ above that of a corpse! I’m impressed.”
He chuckles. “I love it when you’re bitchy. You’re so adorable”
“You’re not” I mutter.
“Well, at least you’re talking to me. That’s farther than we’ve gotten in weeks.”
I roll my eyes. He really can’t be that imperceptive. “There’s a reason for that, jackass.”
He flips me over so I’m facing him.
“Speaking of, we need to talk.” He states with authority. I wince, and start to pull out of the bed.
