"Wake up, little one," a dark voice whispered into my ears. My eyes snapped open and met with the smouldering one of my mate.
"You're still here?" I whispered looking around to make sure that pack members were asleep. From the darkness surrounding us, it's safe to say the morning is far from now. He must be leaving now that's why he woke me up and was proven right with his next sentence.
"I'll leave now," he nodded his head. The sadness crept inside of me. I'm not sure when we'll meet again, I mean I'm never sure when he'll surprise me.
"When will I see you again?" without giving any second thought I blurted out, cussing in my head afterwards. My cheeks heated up and thanks to the darkness my burning cheeks were hidden from his gaze.
"Soon," his vague reply didn't please me but I nod
