She was taken aback by my confidence but I smiled all the way. She didn't know that I was trying to ease her slowly and make her open up to me finally. It was very sad that she was not willing to let me in.
The memory of that guy holding her captive must be so strong but I refused to be undeterred. It was all a matter of time before I would uncover the truth.
She moved backwards and I let her go. Of course she would be feeling a certain way at my statement but it was the whole truth.
