Siren

Ice-cold water pressed against my skin as I snapped completely back to reality and spurred me to begin to struggle in an attempt to free myself from its hold before the creature drug me any deeper into the water. I couldn't help but wonder exactly where my guards had gone and how they had allowed this to happen. However,I wasn't going to go down without a fight with or without them; I needed to break free soon. "Just give in." The creature cooed, flashing its sharp teeth at me. "There is no one to help you now." I could feel that it was attempting to use its enchantment on me, but this time I was mentally prepared. Keeping focus on the cold around me, I remained focused as I grabbed the creature's wrists and twisted until its grip on my head loosened before finally letting go completely.
