AERITH’S POV: I finished up my food and stood up after cleaning my hands with the napkin. I gathered the dishes together and walked into the kitchen that had been connected to the dining room. There were two maids in the kitchen. I knew one of them already. She was the unfriendly maid whose attitude at every point never failed to throw me off. The other was cleaning up a shelf. I cleared my throat and moved in the direction of the sink. Clearing my throat was to alert them. They turned their attention to me. I dropped the plates and turned back to them. I didn't know what to say to ease the awkward silence that hung in the air. "Thank you for clearing the plates." The other maid said. I was surprised.
