Magic and fire

“But no one came in…” Aziza’s thoughts whispered. “Except, they had been waiting….” Nyx whispered back, reading her thoughts. Rage swirled like a hurricane within and she snapped her gaze to the car that stood in the middle of a lot of armed men. Her eyes pierced right through the couple sitting there, having an argument and it only enraged her the more. It had been a trap all along. She snapped her gaze back to the familiar man and something just enraged her more. Nikko was a part of it while pretending to be a lovely, friendly cop. Something hard struck her chest as she lowered her gaze. She felt stupid, so stupid. And deceived. She snapped her gaze back to him, finding it hard, yet heartbreaking. She had to be sure that it was him. He had been a lot of help to her and had not judged her or wanted her dead the first time they met. He couldn’t be what she thought. But sure, he was there, matching in like a soldier ready for a battle. He was a hunter all this while. That hurt even more than it should. And she painfully pulled her gaze away. “Well, then…” she turned to the men before her. “I won’t go anywhere with you. I have a prince I need to meet and I would not be delayed, killed or experimented on. So, are you ready to die?” her voice rose with venom and her pupils turned red in hunger. In response, a whizzing sound pierced the air and it came in fast and through the air, right for her heart. The sound could not be escaped and with her right hand, she caught the arrow and snapped it. A low growl escaped her mouth and like thunder, she zoomed into the crowd, taking out her guns and daggers at where she kept them and slashed through throats, necks, heads while gun fire followed. She was too fast and the hunters could not pinpoint her location, so they simply fired, hoping it would get to her. It didn’t go so well as it hit at their men instead. Fortunately, they came prepared with bullet proofs. Most survived, but none survived her own bullets. The battle was drawn and she moved with such speed and rage, killing them was a piece of cake. However, her hunger was unquenchable. Aziza ran with only one aim in her mind, kill, but the blood and the smell of the blood soon enough distracted her, pulling at her senses to get a drink. Her movement soon enough slowed and she stopped in front of Nikko. His heart skipped at the sight of her and those angry and hungry gazes, he almost dropped dead. However, he understood if he died next. He had deceived her, even after saving her from the cell the last time. A lady like her wouldn’t take that so likely. Though it hurt him, it was simply what it was. Being a hunter came first and this assignment had to be carried out. He knew what was coming when Ethan had laid the trap and asked them to come. It was simple. His death. Her fangs elongated and the sound of his heart beat became the most perfect thing in her ears. The way the blood travelled through his capillaries and called at her was so soothing, it clawed at her heart and pulled her, including her senses. “Aziza…” Chandra growled, sensing the bullets coming her way. Just in time, she snapped and moved, but her mind was working so fast, she pulled Nikko along and tossed him dangerously in the air. He slammed into Ethan’s car and Flossie shrieked. Aziza fought and killed and moved as her rage and hunger carried her. But the pain and agony that came with it slowly pushed her and slowed her down. She ran back into the house and slammed the door shut when her hunger only grew. She let out a painful growl at the pain that ate her from within. Her vision turned red with blood and she lost her footing and fell face flat as it rode her inside. “You have to eat…” “You’ve been starving for too long and your rage isn’t helping.” Chandra scolded, feeling the fight she fought within. They could not fight two battles at once. It would be a losing game if she lost control. The hunters out there were too many. “Come on. Aziza. Stop punishing yourself already. We know where Damon is now and if you keep doing this, we might never get to him. That would be your fault for not being strong enough…” They tried talking her into eating. “If we don’t win this, we might never see him again. Those hunters won’t easily let you go. So eat…” “And win this fight so we can go for our mates, you hear…” they growled. Aziza growled back at them and gnashed her aching tooth some more. Her senses went mad and unstable and everything became heightened. Too heightened, it was damaging. Her stomach burned and churned as her hunger increased. “God…” she yelled out in pain and her demons whimpered. Her pain was getting to them and the hunters were seconds away from breaking through the door. However, the pain was so much more than words could describe and fighting them off was no longer so easy. Everything hurt, it was like a torture devise had been placed in her body and she couldn’t break free. She yelled and cried in pain when it didn’t stop. It tore her apart from within “Aziza…” Nisha called out in worry. “Get up…” they ordered. But no matter how loud her pets yelled, her loss was theirs and she was losing. Tossing around on the floor and crying of pain would only end them. She could not lose, not now, not now she had a way to Damon. She could not lose. Her mate was waiting in a dark room. The memories of that vision and the way he called out her name flashed in her hazy and unstable thoughts. Almost immediately, the air turned different. An energy flowed from within, passing through her capillaries like sparks of pleasurable lightening, it passed through like the blood within and into the air it flowed out like her breath. The door was slammed open and men came running. With a strange push, she turned to her side and her eyes glowed ever so brightly. Sparks danced around her, fueling her from her inside and her fire rose and burned within her pupils. Gunshots and arrows were shot at her immediately the hunters got a view. But a loud explosion came from outside and screams followed. Screams of torments. Fire immediately rose from her feet and ran to the door where hunters came from and it caught them so quickly, more screams followed. It was enticing, once she started and all she wanted was for it all to burn. For them to burn. And it did, it burned, it spread, it moved, it rose that their screams and agony filled her hunger. It took away her consciousness and a different, hungrier being burned from within. The fire ran quick, it ran wide and it threatened to burn every little soul present within the Roxwell fortress. “Aziza….” Nisha called out almost in a whisper. Completely shaken by the turn of events. She was scared and whoever was there, wasn’t their sire. “Aziza…” she called out again, pulling her through her subconsciousness to stop. There were maids running out of their rooms with screams, staff that did nothing wrong. Damon’s parents were still in the car. They would all burn. “Stop…you have to stop…they will all die…” Nyx screamed, feeling something there. It was like a virus, over riding their system and taking control. Things were falling apart, more explosions rose, screams of agony, fear and pleas followed. It was like the sound of hell, the sound of death. “Aziza…come off it. Stop…stop…you have to…” they panicked, yet nothing they said pulled Aziza from the burning dept of her being. Her eyes only burned with the hunger within. And her heart only wanted the screams to continue, nothing was getting to her. She was really going to burn it all. Slowly, she got up on her feet and stared at the door with serious, deadly intent. Her aura reeked of death, fire, smoke and something evil. Her eyes reflected ever so brightly with the fire that burned, almost like a mirror image and the satisfied and hungry look on her face made her look like the devil herself. She stared at the door and simply watched and listened as people screamed to their very death. Yet, it spooked her not, not even the calls of her pets stopped her. Aziza was gone with the feel of her magic and it would protect her. Chandra let out a growl and clawed at the back of her mind to bring her back from the space she had been locked away. Almost immediately, lightning struck the sky, making the night burn brightly and an enormous thunder struck the sky, shaking the very ground. The air turned tense and a different magic danced in the air. It was unlike Aziza’s magic, and the very presence of a different magic made the air humid, wicked, and toxic. Unlike Aziza’s magic, it was ferocious and sapped on the very thing she didn’t understand. Her magic that had slowly taken control. Heavy rainfall followed the thunder clap and just as the fire appeared, it disappeared, leaving nothing but smoke, terror and the after effects of Aziza’s destruction. With the fire extinguished, magic slowly disappeared from the air and the beautiful energy and spark around her skin died, leaving nothing but an empty, weak shell. “Aziza….” Chandra called out to her, feeling her weakness drain them quickly. She said nothing in response and simply stood like a statue. Her mind replayed what had happened, it replayed how quickly it came and it replayed what she did and how quickly screams rose in her head. Her heart died in agony, the smell of flesh, burned flesh and the pain and sorrow that filled the air, accompanied by the death she brought. Pain shrouded her being as three familiar figures appeared in her mind. “No….” she shook her head. Then something dark sucked her in and it went silent and dark around her.
