Sandy's POV
He threw me out of his office! All because of that ugly b***h and her little bastard! Sandy Moore, the daughter of Cliff Moore, how dare he treat me like this. I gave him my best years! I always thought that Paul was just playing hard to get and that I just needed to be patient with him. I am so mad right now. I want to call him and make sure things are still okay between him and me. I call his number, but it does not go through, and it says the user has blocked me. Blocked me! How dare he! I am so mad right now I can catch a snake with my bare hands. Paul Stevens, do not mess with me!
I will bring down that b***h and her bastard son and even you if I have to. I love Paul, I have loved him since we were teenagers and he took me on my first date. I went overseas after I finished high school and never wanted to study further. I did not need to study, my father is wealthy, and I am his little princess. I need to fix things with Paul. After giving him time to cool down, I return to his office, but security tells me I am not allowed inside the building.
"How dare you! I am Sandy Moore. Call Paul and tell him I am here. He will let me in. I am his girlfriend!"
The security guard looks at me with a sarcastic smile and says, "It is Mr. Stevens who told us not to let you into any of his offices, Miss Moore. I am sorry, but we can not let you in." What!? Paul is the one telling them not to let me in!
I walk back to my car. I do not want to make a scene. Did he really mean it when he said he was finished with me? I know he has always told me not to waste my time on him, but I only thought he was playing hard to get with me and wanted me to fight for him, but why do I feel that he meant it now? He just threw me away like I was not important to him as soon as that woman and her bastard walked back into his life. I open my car and sit at the steering. I break into tears and call my dad.
"Daddy," I cry as soon as my father answers the phone.
"What is wrong, princess? Why are you crying?" I hear my dad's voice, and I cry even harder.
"It is Paul he dumped me, for that w***e and her bastard son!"
My father tries to calm me down and says, "Calm down, pumpkin, and tell me what happened who is the w***e and the bastard you are talking about?"
I answer him in between my snobs and say, "Isabella Johnson and her son! They are back in Houston, and now Paul dumped me!"
I hear my dad sigh, "Sandy, maybe you must move on, my princess, Paul was never in love with you, and he always told you, you are wasting your time."
I cry louder and say, "I will and can never forget about Paul, and I can never just move on! How can daddy tell me to move on? Paul is my first and only love."
My dad says, "Sandy, I will be back tonight, okay just wait for me at home, and we will talk about it." I know my dad always gets me what I want, and he will fix things between Paul and me. I am sure he will!
I feel a bit better knowing my dad will be home tonight, and I say, "Okay, daddy, I love you."
My dad answer and says, "I love you, pumpkin." Well, Isabella Johnson, you can mess with me but not with my dad! My dad is powerful and wealthy. He will put you in your place! Paul, my dad, will get us back together. I know he will. His little princess is his everything!
Third person's POV
As Cliff Moore gets off the phone, he is worried. Like his daughter, he likes to spend a lot of money, and he never realized that money is like water. It will flow through your finger if you are not careful. He got into real big trouble over the last few years, and with the new restaurant Charlie's Place in all the big cities, the restaurants in his hotels were never full anymore these days. So that took a big bite out of his profits over the last few years as well. He could still handle a three-star restaurant like Harmonies because if there were nowhere else to go, the people would eat at his hotels. Still, since Charlie's Place has opened, the new three-star restaurant has taken a big chuck out of the high-class restaurant business all over the States. He still has his hotels overseas, but lately, the market overseas has also become very competitive. His biggest income is from the States, and he had a significant portion of the restaurant business. Although his hotels are six-star, his restaurants inside the hotels have been downgraded to two stars as he could no longer compete with restaurants like Harmonies and Charlie's Place. Charlie's place has outperformed all restaurants this year and has set new standards for the restaurant business, and only high-end places like Harmonies and a few others can compete with them. Holding three Michelin stars is a rare honor, and only a few restaurants in the world have that honor. Charlie's Place and Harmonies are two of them. He knows that he did not spend as much time at his hotels and looking after his business over the past few years. He was also counting too much on his staff and hardly visited his hotels. The restaurants, which were three stars, have been downgraded to two stars as he did not keep up with the latest trends and never upgraded his restaurants inside the hotels. He wishes his daughter would show more interest in the business and stop being a socialite, but she has been a disappointment so far. She never wanted to study and liked to travel and party a lot and spend a lot.
He has not told her about their troubles and that he owes Paul Stevens a substantial amount of money. He does not want his little princess to worry about his problems. He just hopes she does not anger Paul because if she does, he will have to sell all his assets in the States to pay Paul back the amount he owes him. Paul has not pushed him for p*****t either, as he knew that Cliff is in a bit of a mess at the moment. Paul is now helping Cliff get his business back on track, and if he pisses off Paul, Paul may just recall the loan and leave him to sort out his own mess. He has hoped that Paul and Sandy will get married one day. Still, he soon lost his hope as Paul got married six years ago to the daughter of the Johnson family, but the marriage did not last long. He had hoped again, but Sandy could not get Paul to commit after all these years, and Paul looked at her like a little sister. He soon realized that Paul must have either someone else in his heart or was just too busy to be in a serious relationship. After he watched the news to see who the CEO of Charlie's Place was, he understood. Paul had a son, and the daughter of the Johnson family was not an ugly fat little girl like Sandy described her back then. She was a beautiful, successful woman. Someone he can see Paul having an interest in. He sighs as he thinks about his own daughter.
Why can not be more like that, Isabella Johnson is a true lady and an excellent businesswoman?. Although after he listened to her speech, it was clear that things were not well between her and the Johnson and Stevens families. There may be trouble in paradise, and he can only hope that she rejects Paul and that Paul will eventually marry Sandy, but he knows it is wishful thinking. Paul never gives up on what he wants. He is stubborn and powerful. He does not care to step on a few toes to get what he wants. He knows Paul very well since he has been working with him for the last year to save his business. Paul is ruthless in business, and he can just imagine how cruel Paul can be when it comes to the people he loves.
He knows people have seen Paul as a playboy, but he also knows it is not true. So many women have thrown themselves at Paul's feet the last six years, even his own daughter Sandy, but Paul never took one of them to his bed or his house that he knows of. Paul only took Sandy to functions lately but never touched her. Come to think of it. It was since his wife left him six years ago. Can it be that Paul has loved Isabella for all those years and still loves her? He needs to talk to his daughter tonight and let her know Paul is off-limits for now until he gets his business back on track. He knows his own daughter, and she knows she will not give up, but this time he will have to put his foot down, and she will need to grow up as well. He will also have to cut her budget. He knows she will not be happy because he spoiled her too much. His wife left him and his daughter and ran away with another man when Sandy was only ten. He felt sorry for his little princess and did everything to make her happy to forget about her mother, who left them. He now knows it was stupid and irresponsible of him to do so.
Cliff has been in Australia for a few weeks to visit his hotels there as Paul ordered him to do. As his plane lands, he gets in the awaiting limo and orders his driver to go straight home, he is tired, but he knows he must talk with Sandy tonight and make her understand, in just what big mess they are. Sandy jumps up and runs to him as he walks into the house, throwing herself into his arms, crying. His heart goes soft for his little princess, but he is determent to make Sandy understand that she can not piss off Paul Stevens at this moment in time.
"Daddy, I missed you, and Paul threw me out of his office today, all because of that b***h Isabella Johnson and her bastard son."
I look at her and say, "Sandy listen to me. You can not piss off Paul or Isabella in any way and do not call her a b***h and Paul's son a bastard." Sandy looks at me and starts crying again,
"So my own dad has turned against me now?" She asks. Cliff sighs.
"Sandy, I am not taking sides, but the truth is, before your eyes, the boy is Paul's boy. He looks just like Paul, and Isabella is the mother of that boy, and it will piss Paul off if you keep calling them names."
She looks at me and asks, "So daddy, you are not going to help me to get Paul back?"
Cliff looks at her and asks, "Was Paul ever yours, Sandy? For years you and a lot of other women have chased after him, but he never even touched one of you."
She looks at me and says, "What is daddy trying to say to me?"
Cliff looks her in the eyes and says, "That Paul has been in love with Isabella for years and that you are wasting your time, my princess. Paul Stevens is off-limits from now on, Sandy. Our business is in big trouble, and I have borrowed money from Paul. Also, Paul is busy helping me to save the business. So I will have to cut your budget as well. I am really sorry, Sandy, but Dad loves you, and I can not watch my daughter throw away her youth for nothing. Paul does not want you. He never wanted you and never will." Cliff's heart breaks for his daughter, but there is nothing he can do. He needs to tell her the truth and help her get Paul out of her heart and mind.
Sandy is angry as she looks at her father and shouts, "I will never give Paul up! Never not to that b***h and her bastard or anyone else. You can cut my budget as much as you want to father, I do not care, but you can not take Paul away from me!" She storms to her room, and Cliff looks helplessly as his daughter slams the door behind her.
'I have spoiled you too much, my princess, and will have to learn to say no to you in the future, and the first no will be Paul Stevens. I am so sorry, princess, but from now on, Paul Stevens is off-limit.' So he thinks to himself as he walks tiredly to his room to rest.
