Zandrei Canmore was staring at the window watching while the storm devastate the trees outside his palace. Today marks his 114th birthday and his 89th yr as the King of Cardiff, 89 yrs ago he was crowned king and 89yrs ago he learned a very shocking truth, he inherited the first Cardiff King's curse — to be a half immortal.

Like the whole royal family, Zandrei was born an immortal, but as he grow his mother Queen Mellisandrei noticed that he is different, he gets sick, he is strong like the others but he bleeds and heals like a mortal. At the age of 25 on his coronation day Zandrei was shot with an arrow, which for an immortal should feel nothing but scratch but that was not the case for him, for he almost died. Fortunately he survived but after that he was guarded like a mortal King would be. The former King, his father has commanded every scholar to find a way to help him the search was not long for the answer was written in the first King's journal.

88yr ago …..

It was raining hard as usual, and Zandrei was in his room at the age of 25 when he is supposed to be ruling and out fighting wars, he has to stay indoors and be kept away.

"Mother, are there any news about this blasted situation that I am in ?" He asked his mother who was sitting in the fireplace reading a book

"Patience Zandrei, it has just been a day since your father ordered the scholars to find a solution, sit still and rest so the wound won't open up and cause you more harm"

"Your Majesty the scholars from the first King's archive has arrived and they are requesting for your time" one of the maids announced

"About time they got back" Zandrei said irritably "this better be good news, I am King I am supposed to rule not get locked up!"

As always he was escorted by guards and wizards on his way to the throne room, as he was walking he can't help but notice that the castle has been brighter that usual additional lights were installed.

When he entered the throne room he say a dozen of scholars bent over while looking on what appears to be a notebook. When they felt his presence they went on their usual position line up in front of him all with their head bowed not a single person dare look at his face.

"Your Majesty, we have found an important information about your curse" the head scholar started " we found the first King's journal and in here he wrote the words that has given him and you this curse"

Zandrei was sweating, he was nervous to here what the scholars have found but he can't show that to anyone.

"Go on,read it " he instructed

"Though blessed with immortality, the king has got to have his weakness for if none fear will not felt and a King should know what fear is to become a true King. Just like the first King Zandrei has a mate, his mate's blood will be the only cure to any wound or disease that may fall on him, and this mate can only live if she was also able to consume his blood."

and now 88yrs later that mate that they were speaking for is about to be born, it was not simple to find her, 1st of all there were no clues to who she will be, how to find her, she was looking for a needle in a haystack.
