ORION.
"How could you let her refuse our proposal?" Mother speaks to me as she paces the holy grounds.
"May I remind you mother, that I do not control her mind and I did all I could do persuade her, yet she refuses." I reply mother.
"Are you sure Orion?" Aurelia intervenes crossing her hands over her chest.
"And what is that suppose to mean?" My question directly at her.
"I think what Aurelia here is saying is, we both know sometime your manner of approach may be a bit behind." Octavius jumps into the conversation as he walks towards us.
"Then, maybe you shouldn't have sent me in the first place." I reply Octavius, while he stares at me with the same gaze he always has for the last three years.
The gaze of pity.
"This is not the time to debate on what should have been done. What matters now is getting the girl on our side." Mother says and I roll my eyes at her persistent statement.
"Her name is Atheena, and talking like that is the sole reason she is hesitant on seeing that we're the good guys, because to her it all just seems like a game to with a trophy which is her, so if I was her, I probably would have the same judgement of thought." I speak blatantly with the gaze of each of them on me.
"Looks like someone knows more that they are ready to admit." Aurelia says trying to tease me, but it all just gets me irked up. "Oh, now he's angry," She adds.
"Cool your pants brother, why do you always gets so worked up?" Ares my brother says.
"Because it seems you all do not know the gravity of this matter, that you joke of it lightly. Our home, Cyrus, is on the bridge of extinction, Articus is about to destroy the world, and we all know how dangerous and cruel he is, at least I do, if you all have forgotten, but either ways, if Atheena does not want to get herself in this mess, I suggest we diverse another plan." I speak.
"In case you have also forgotten, we can not fight Articus, nor save Cyrus without Atheena. So, our only option is to find Atheena and convince her properly, without making her feel bad about herself or signing out her life." Octavius intervenes staring at me directly.
"Then we go with that. Find the girl again and make sure you convince her this time Octavius. The job is for you and not anyone else. And shall she refuses again, we're taking the war to Articus and not waiting for doom to find us." Mother adds as she walks closer to Octavius.
"Lest you forget, it would be a war we cannot win without her." Octavius warning responds comes through.
Mother let's her gaze linger on Octavius for a minute before she sighs and leave, reducing our number to just my siblings and Octavius.
"I'm going to train," Ares says first, but hiding the fact that he is also trying leave the environment.
"I'm coming with you, wait for me." Aurelia joins in also setting to leave it down to Octavius and I.
Knowing its just I and Octavius, and from the looks of it he may have a lecture to give me. "You need to let go of that anger Orion," Octavius starts, making snicker at my prediction.
"Yeah of course, same conversation." I nod my head wanting to leave when Octavius blocks me with a shielding spell, obstructing my way.
"Do not let your anger get the best of you with this one too. Move on Orion, move on and stop acting like you're the only one who misses her. She was my daughter too never forget that." Octavius tells me sternly.
"Unlike you Octavius, you may have gotten over it, but I can never, never forget Isabella. Do you know why? Because every damn time I close my eyes, I am being placed back to the time before she was killed. She died because of me Octavius, and if I had not put her in danger of coming to woods, she would still be alive. So no, it's not just anger, it's guilt too." I speak to his face walking back to him.
"And you think I don't feel the same, you think so? I am the most powerful warlock, yet I couldn't break my daughter's curse, I couldn't let her function like a proper witch, and here you are talking about guilt like you're the only one who knew her.
I can never forget Isabella, Orion but I can move on, because I have accepted my fate and so should you." Octavius tells me, while my blood only boils with anger.
"Well, I can not do that Octavius." I tell him once and for all, signalling the end of the topic to walk away from him. "And about Atheena," I stop in my tracks. "Do not worry, such won't repeat itself." My gaze hard with every word I speak with him.
--------------
Adele's lips on mine doesn't descend anywhere else, than the focus it has biting and sucking my lower lip, while my hands travel upon her body.
As my hands stroll inside her shirt, a moan escapes her lips making her tug her head backward.
With haste in the way, I shove away the brown body hug she has on, leaving her in her undergarments.
"Orion, Orion!" The door opens startling, as Ares barges through the door, clearly not having an idea he is going to interrupt something. "Oh, my apologies." He speaks with utmost shame, but not before I catch his eyes linger on Adele's cleavage.
"There is something you need to see. Octavius is having another vision," Ares tells me as this time all sense of arousal or lust leaves me. "And it's about the girl." He adds as my worry only intensifies.
I nod my head at him, as with one last look he leaves and shuts the door, before picking my clothes which has been pulled out in the previous atmosphere.
"We're always getting disturbed." Adele whines picking up her own shirt.
Adele is one the skilled warriors in the Holy world, yet I won't hesitate to say she is quiet irrational, and whatever is between us, is just to fulfill the physical pleasures.
"Yet, our duties needs to be performed, you know that." I remind her.
We leave the room as soon as we're presentable, running our heels to meet Octavius in his private chambers.
Upon our arrival, we're gazed to meet my mother, Aurelia, Ares, and Jackson, the head of the strategy squad. "Why is he like this?" I ask any of them sighthing Octavius folded on the black carpeted floor, with his eyes pure white.
"He's having another vision." Aurelia replies this time.
"But why is he on the floor, he is never like that?" I inquire the more, knowing Octavius is never this fragile when having one of his predictions.
"That's what I noticed too. Something is not right." Jackson answers. With all our questions, not one answer do we have correctly, until Octavius begins trembling slightly.
"Tempus breve est! Tempus breve est!" An unknown rasp voice becomes audible from Octavius tongue, as he speaks in Latin one particular thing.
Time is running out!
What time?
At the last word of his, the white surface covering his eyes, are now replaced by the green iris he holds, as his body is stretched forward.
"Octavius..." Aurelia rushes to him. "Are you okay?" Aurelia furthers helping the 208 year old man, who look like he is in his forties, get back up on his feet.
"Octavius..." It's my turn to speak seeing him on his feet. He gaze meets mine acknowledging my concern, while he nods gently.
"I'm fine," He finally speaks to no one else but Aurelia, who still has a hand supporting him.
"What did you see?" Mother's voice comes through as Aurelia spaces herself from him. The room now quiet as everyone waits for Octavius to speak, but he doesn't.
"What did you see Octavius?" Mother asks again, this time with a hint of worry. Octavius turns his back on us, walking away from from us.
He gets back with a new shirt hanging over his head, while he walks closer. For a man who is over two hundred years, Octavius I can say is blessed when it comes to physique.
"Blood." He finally speaks leaving us all in a perplexed state. "I saw blood.... Lots of it." He completes.
"Whose blood?" My tone coming hard.
"The girl....Atheena."
