Black tendrils shot out of the ground, right beneath our car. The ground cracked around the dark magic as it pierced through the vehicle. The car flew into the air and crashed just a few feet in front of me. The force of the car crashing to the ground sent me and several others flying to the asphalt. I landed on my back, and for a moment I couldn’t breathe.
The creature was back, and the terrified screams of our pack members filled the air. Panic and chaos swirled around me as we were once again under attack.
“Someone call Alpha Mark!”
“Help!”
More screams echoed, drowning out the specific words of those around me. I pushed myself up, knowing lying there was not an option. I would not be a helpless soul while my classmates were attacked.
