CAULDER I found myself nodding off as I sat in front of a plate of freshly made french toast. After the conversation with my mother, I wasn’t able to fall asleep. It was just a lot to process, and I spent most of the night lying in bed with my eyes wide open. I had to figure out a way to fix everything, even though my mother told me not to worry about it, because she was handling it. It was hard not to worry about it, though. Remy was my sister, and if my mother had been truly able to handle everything, Remy wouldn’t have been attacked yesterday.
