I laid there, curled into a small ball against the cold filthy ground. The perspiration had matted my hair to the side and my nose started to burn because I had repeatedly wiped it with the sleeves of my blouse every time it started to feel wet. My eyes felt dry, out of the water from all the crying I had done. It was exhausting really that I started to feel dehydrated. I didn't have any strength left to cry anymore or to scream. If I ever get out from here alive, I was sure I would suffer from a very bad sore throat for a few days. I wondered how long it has passed since I got locked into this room.
