Sicily
He was really getting on my nerves. I swear I felt like punching him so hard on his face, but I was better than that, or at least I thought. Stomping towards my dorm room, I put the key inside the lock, almost breaking it and walked in.
“What’s got you so upset?” Eva asked, getting out of her bed where she was reading.
“More like who? And who do you think made me upset?” I kept pacing back and forth while she laughed at me. I usually laugh too, but I was too mad to even think about smiling.
“My brother,” she said, knowingly. There was no way I would survive these years without him driving me nuts.
“Is he always this annoying and this...this...ugh!” I said, pulling my hair in frustration as I sat on my bed with a loud thump.
“Oh, come on. Try to get to know him, I am sure he will surprise you. He is very kind and such a huge teddy bear.”
“Well, maybe to you. But he’s acted like an i***t with me.”
I decided not to talk about Levi anymore. He could be handsome and all that, but his attitude sucks, and of course Eva would defend him since she was his sister.
It was already late and I was really exhausted, so I took a warm shower and wore my favorite pajamas before I finally got into bed.
“So, you and Johnny, huh?” I asked Eva as I leaned to the side with my head on my hand, looking at her while wiggling my eyebrows. She instantly blushed and put her hands on her face while I laughed with her.
“Hey, there is nothing wrong with that. He seems very genuine about liking you. How long have you two been together?”
She looked up at the ceiling, thinking about the answer and puffing up her cheeks to blow some air out.
“Since I was a freshman in high school. I guess Johnny didn’t see me as this cute little girl anymore and he started pursuing me. There were a lot of challenges though because there was this girl who liked him, so I was hoping he didn’t fall for her.”
Eva also explained Levi didn’t know about them being together, and I wondered now why she was shocked to see him at our door looking for her. After a great moment of conversation, we both went to sleep. Tomorrow would be our last day to enjoy before we started with the grind of our university life.

“Wake up, Sicily!” Eva shouted, making me groan while I covered myself with my pillow.
“Why are you waking me up so early in the morning?” I asked, annoyed as I threw that same pillow to her face, making her gasp and jump on me to do a tickle attack.
“Stop it! What are you, twelve?” I scolded, laughing until I almost peed myself.
“If you don’t want me to act like one, then get up. We got invited to breakfast and make sure you dress up comfortably.”
I sat up and looked at her as if I wanted to murder her right now. Truth is, I couldn’t eat anything last night and I was really hungry, so I had no choice but to get up and get dressed.
I wore some jean shorts and a black crop top with some flat shoes. My hair was down in wet waves, just casual and wild.
Eva had her usual long skirt and sweater with her eyeglasses. I had to work on her style one day, can’t have Johnny falling for someone else, even though he likes Eva for her heart. But what do I know about love?
“Ready?” she asked and I nodded, putting some deodorant and perfume.
“Ready.”
We headed out of the room and as soon as we locked the door, Levi and Johnny were standing there in the hallway. Levi was leaning against the wall, looking up and down at my body, and I crossed my arms on my chest while giving him a deadly stare.
“Did you lose something in my pants?” I asked, raising my eyebrows.
“No, but it might get lost soon,” he replied, making me gasp in shock. How dare he?
“Who the hell do you think you are?” I said, angrily and about to jump on him when Eva and Johnny stopped me.
“Easy, Sicily. My friend here is an i***t, we know that. But it’s not worth it.”
“Dude, you’re supposed to be on my side,” Levi replied, punching him on the shoulder, but Johnny didn’t even flinch. I rolled my eyes and walked away, getting ahead of them. Levi caught up to me and put his arm around my shoulder, trying to annoy me and he was succeeding.
I instantly took his hand and squeezed it so hard, he winced in pain.
“Do you have the habit of touching people without permission?” I asked and he raised his hands in the air.
“Sorry, I thought we could be friends, but it looks like you are hard headed.”
“Ugh! You are such a...I can’t with you!” I shouted, walking faster to get away from him. I could hear Eva and Johnny laugh in the back and I was this close to scolding them too, but I didn’t because they have been way too nice with me and I really like them.
As soon as we arrived at the parking lot, there was a beautiful black Camaro there. My jaw almost fell to the floor. I remember my father driving one of these when I was a little kid and he would drive me and mom around.
Too bad it got sold, but I promised myself that I would get him one when I had my own career, and enough money to buy it for him.
“Wow, that is a beautiful ride. Whose is it?” I asked, walking around it and admiring the entire vehicle. Levi leaned against it, crossing his arm on his chest and showing me a smirk. Of course, I should have known it was his.
“Well, it’s a shame. I feel sorry for your Camaro,” I replied. Johnny and Eva were silent and they got in the back right away, leaving the passenger seat open for me. Great, now I have to be next to him, listening to his stupid remarks. Just my luck.
