Chapter 7“Ugh! Someone stinks.”
Upon hearing Jordan’s familiar voice, Darby rolled his eyes. He stepped in to his bookshop and waved at Belinda and his parents before giving Jordan both of his middle fingers.
“Manners, Darby.”
Jordan snickered while Darby sighed at his mother. “Yes, Mom.”
Belinda approached Darby and hugged him tightly. “How was dinner?”
Darby’s mood improved instantly at the reminder of his two soul mates. “It was awesome. Dillon is an incredible chef. Dan seemed distracted, though.”
“About what?”
“About this man named Warren Jacobson,” Darby answered his father’s question. “I think I may know who the man is, but I can’t recall where or when.”
“Warren is one of the few humans who knows about the supernatural community, son.”
Darby was taken aback, and he stared a
