  Jade   "Get up, Jade! Everyone's waiting at the breakfast table!" Ruby's urgency was palpable as she attempted to drag me out of bed.   "Ugh! Mornings are the worst," I grumbled, rolling away from her. Despite the hotel's supposed comfort, the bed hadn't been kind to my sleep. At that moment, though, it was the most inviting thing in existence. "Just let me be, okay? Go without me."   Most guests had spent the night at the hotel due to Frank's bottomless pockets. As for why I ended up here? Well, last night's intoxication had left me unable to return to the house- soon to be abandoned by my mother, dragging me along in her wake.
