The wedding had drawn to a close. There was no reversing the course now, not with the way my mom and Frank shared a dance on the floor. Her gaze upon Frank mirrored the way she once looked at my dad-as if he were the sole existence in her world.
Despite the relentless pounding of my hangover, I couldn't resist the tequila, swiftly downing it in one daring gulp.
