SIXTY SIX. MOTEL

1356 Words

Logan stopped at a motel where the lights flickered from a distance. From a mile away, he could see dozens of roadside billboards offering budget rooms with five-star facilities with pictures of luxurious honeymoon suites that were so tempting. Yeah, that was the art of advertising. Even though there were no five-star suites, at least, motels were the best choice for travelers who wanted to stop by to just close their eyes for a few hours at a cheap price. To him, the motel was the perfect camouflage. He was able to hide from the people chasing him and sleep soundly for a few hours. He turned to Riley, who was fast asleep next to him. Riley looked so tired. Riley wasn't even awake when he stopped at Walmart to buy some clothes, food, medicine and socks. He also bought a blanket for Riley.
