The air was heavy with anticipation as I revealed my unexpected proposal to her. The room seemed to blur around her, and it was as if she had been transported to an entirely different universe. Her gaze, filled with a mix of awe and disbelief, met mine.
"Our wedding?" she whispered, her voice barely audible amidst the chaos in her mind.
"Yes, our wedding," I replied, my voice firm and resolute. I wanted to ensure that my words left no room for misunderstanding.
A torrent of emotions washed over her face. Confusion, excitement, and self-doubt danced in her eyes. "But sir," she began hesitantly, "why would you want to marry me? I am beneath your status, and if I recall correctly, I was informed that I wasn't mated to you."
