I took a deep breath, trying to gather the courage to stand my ground. Asher's words couldn't sway me anymore; fear shouldn't be dictating my decisions. This moment was the opportune time for me to break free from him and start a new life. "I am not coming with you," I said firmly, my tone unyielding. However, my defiance seemed to only fan the flames of Asher's anger.
"Bella!" he bellowed, his frustration evident in his voice.
Derek, always the protective one, chimed in, irritation lacing his words. "She's made herself clear, leave her alone."
Despite his earlier anger, Asher now attempted a calmer approach. "Bella, you're making a mistake. You're aware of who I am and how dangerous my anger can be. Come with me, and we can prevent things from getting worse," he reasoned,
