Both Asher and I turned toward the voice that spoke out, relieved to see that it was Jason and not Derek. I knew having Derek there would be a disaster.
"It's nice to see you again, Jason," Asher said with a grin on his face.
"I want you to let her go right now!" Jason repeated with a stern tone, causing Asher to release his grip on me. I immediately ran toward Jason for safety, grateful to be out of Asher's clutches.
