“NO, this is enough… I don’t want to… I’m tired! What is wrong with what I am doing? I don’t know what to do anymore,” Akari said as she continued to run and let the tears flow in her eyes.
She could no longer withstand the anxiety she’s having from her families and being constantly bullied. She did everything she could think of just for her to get a brief acknowledgment from her family, but she always ended up being all alone at the end of the day. With no one to talk to and to lean on.
So here she is now, to the place where she thinks her suffering will end. And Akari stopped in her tracks as soon as she felt the chilly breeze slapped on her skin. She looked down. In front of her is a deep cliff, from which no one could escape to who would fall into it. But… that’s what Akari wants. She wants to end her life; she wants to end her misery by vanishing from the unfair world she lived in.
So, Akari took a slow step, while the tears continued to flow from her eyes. A bitter and sad smile formed on her face.
“I wish… in my next life… they will never look me down on. Never be born in an unfair world…” then she started falling to the cliff, “I wish I can be who I want.” Those were her last words before her body hit the ground. Instant death for her.
But… Akari then found herself in a dark place, with a circle of light above. “Is it really like this when you die? You will really see the ‘light’, huh?” she thought. But then, the light above is getting closer to her. She thought she will finally have peace. But when the light was in front of her, she felt herself coming out of nowhere. Later, she saw a face of a woman who was teary-eyed while looking at her.
“My baby…” the woman spoke. And then a man behind the woman looks at her too, looking at her happily as well. “Our baby, Amelia,” said the man. But at those times, Akari was still wondering if her thought was right about what was happening at the moment. So, she tried to move her body, and she felt like something has changed, so she desperately looked up to any part of her body. And that’s when she confirmed that what she was thinking was right. She was born again, literally.
“Our little, Akari,” the man stated, which is her father. While Akari was even more shocked that even in this new life, her name stays the same. She then observed the man in front of her. He has jet black hair, a firm jaw, and sharp brows. Next is her mother, which gives off a warm and gentle smile that whose off a motherly love. Now she wonders if God truly heard what she wished before she jumped to end her life. ‘Is this it?’ She can’t help but wonder.
WEEKS slowly passed by, and with those days, Akari noticed something strange. Sometimes her mother would take her with her when she’s going to the market, and Akari noticed that almost everyone she met was carrying weapons or had sticks hanging on their back and waists. While she was being bullied and hopeless in her past life, she was intelligent, so she noticed that there was something really strange in the world she was in now.
That is why, when her mother put her to sleep and when she already gone next to her, she will crawl her little hands and feet to stand up. But it’s impossible for her, as to her crib is high for her to go out. But then, she felt a gushing liquid on her diapers. That’s when she involuntarily cries to catch her parents’ attention. And soon enough, her mom came barging in.
“Oh, my baby, what’s the problem?” her mom asked like she can answer her. But when her mother saw the wet blanket, her mother laughed.
“Oh our little, Akari, peed on her diapers! Come here, let mama clean you up,” her mom said in a gentle voice.
Her mother moved her to a small bed and turned its back on her to get new clothes for her. And Akari took that as an opportunity to move her body to test it if she can move on her own. But in just one roll of her body, she had already fallen on a three -foot -high bed. Not that high for kids, but high for a baby like her. She rolled on the solid floor and cry when she stops. It immediately took aback her mother and immediately attended to her.
“Oh, my! Akari!” her mother jolted. Her mother held her on its arms and quickly lifted its palm towards her, and Akari heard her muttered some words before a green light appears on its hand right above her stomach. Akari calmed down for a moment as the pain she was feeling was gone. Her eyes widened as she witnessed another discovery.
‘I-it can’t b-be… did she just heal me?!’ she said on her thought. ‘Where the hell am I?!’ she added.
“Amelia, why is our baby crying?” and here is her father, all suited on an armor suit with metal-like gloves and sword clinging on his hips. “No worries, Gray! Our baby’s fine already,” her mother responded. His father came up to her and carried her into his arm.
“Daddy is going to leave for work, okay? I’m with your aunts and uncles, I’ll introduce them to you, next time! Will you watch over your, Mom? I’ll be right back tomorrow,” her father sweetly said and kissed her forehead after. While she stays with wide eyes unable to process the out-of-this-world things she just discovered. And in the end, she just said on her thought… ‘where the hell am I?’
