I’m walking home from a full shift at the library a few days later, enjoying that there are pockets in my lemon-yellow dress. I ramble across the grass, feeling almost a little tipsy on the niceness of summer. It’s late afternoon now, the sun warm enough that I’ve stripped off my cardigan and stuffed it in my oversized bag. Even the brisk breeze can’t take the edge off of how wonderful it is outside today. To top it all off, a few volunteers have been setting up a stage area and some tables for the Midsummer Fete.
