Chapter 4: Sleep Soundly

As we pressed out lips against each other, it was strange… I couldn’t feel the usual heat I did when I kiss Mark, in fact towards this perfect stranger, was I supposed to feel anything at all?
It was just empty… devoid of emotion…
“I can’t do it after all…” I pushed him away, turning my back to him I closed my eyes. I was going to force myself to sleep on way or another… but with him… that wasn’t the way I wanted to.
“Is it because you still love Mark? Even after he betrayed you.” Samuel asked as he placed his hand on my shoulder but then removed it just as quickly as I shot him a glance.
“That’s none of your business!” I said with a stern voice but it didn’t seem to faze him at all.
