Chapter Four - What the hell?

2910 Words
“How was your first night?” Victoria asked her as she eased herself into the armchair. “It was alright, thank you for asking Luna,” “Please call me Vicky,” “Ok, Vicky,” “Let’s cut to the chase, shall we?” Emily nodded; she wasn’t sure what was so important that it needed to be discussed. “I don’t want you to worry too much about Jenny, I know she can seem bitchy, but she is a good wolf,” Emily stopped herself from rolling her eyes. b***h yes, good, she wasn’t so sure. “As for your question that you asked me yesterday, I have to tell you that I lied,” Emily’s eyes opened in shock, one: her Luna had lied, two: she was confessing about it. Emily wasn’t sure what Vicky had lied about but she waited for her to explained. “Your breakfast Luna, Emily,” Wendy had entered the room with their meals and quickly set it down on the table, Jenny followed her bringing in juice and coffee. The two she-wolves left, and Emily noticed Jenny glancing worriedly over at Vicky. Now Emily was even more curious as to what was going on. She tried to remember what question she had asked but came up blank.  “Let’s eat, then talk,” Vicky said, and Emily nodded, wondering what it was that she had lied about. She looked down at her plate and smiled. Bacon, eggs, mushrooms, toast, and cheese. Her stomach growled and she quickly threw Vicky an apologetic smile. “I missed dinner,” she explained. “Why?” “I got lost and ended up in Jeffery’s office, to be honest,” Vicky stopped fork mid-air. “Oh?” “Yeah, Peter then escorted me to Carl’s room,” Vicky nodded and continued eating, Emily started to eat too, and they fell into silence as they ate. Emily looked up at one point and saw that Vicky was sitting back with her eyes closed. Unsure of what was happening, Emily cleared her throat loudly. “Sorry, Jenny is talking to me, be with you in a moment,” Vicky hurriedly explained. Emily shrugged and finished her meal. She reached out for her juice when there was a knock on the door. “Come in,” Vicky called out and Peter entered. “Ah good, listen, Emily, we will have to finish this conversation a bit later as I have something that I urgently need to attend too. Peter will escort you back to your quarters and do not worry about doing anything with regards to Justin’s welcoming party, Jenny has it under control. Perhaps you’d like a tour of the village?” Emily just nodded and Vicky slowly got up and excused herself. She looked over at Peter. “What the hell is going on?” she questioned him. “Come on, let’s go for a walk through the village and I’ll do my best to explain,” - “I have to be honest with you Carl, you need to tell her as soon as possible,” Vicky said to him as he paced Jeffery’s office. “I agree, it would be better finding out from you than someone else,” Jeffery remarked. “As it is Jenny doesn’t want her to know and interrupted our breakfast, begging me not to inform her,” Vicky added. Carl stopped in front of the window and looked out. He noticed Peter leading Emily out of the castle towards the village. “Do I have to worry about Peter telling her?” he asked. “You may want to just warn him, just in case,” Jeffery responded. Carl quickly mind-linked with Peter before he got too far. “Peter! Stop!” “Carl? Is everything alright?” “I need to ask you not to inform Emily about Jenny,” he waited for a response, watching from the office window. Peter looked up and finally answered. “She deserves the truth, but I promise not to say anything,” “Thank you,” “Thank you, Peter,” Jeffery chimed in. “Just so you know, you better tell her because if you don’t, I will,” Peter added and Carl watched as he urged Emily forward, leaving the castle grounds. Carl knew that without a doubt, Peter would tell her if he didn’t do it soon. - Emily had never felt so relaxed as Peter led her through the village. The wolves were curious about her and some would stop them for a little chat. Peter stopped outside a home that looked delightful and he turned to smile at her. “This is my family home,” he informed her as he took a step forward to enter, Emily followed him shyly. “Do you live here?” she asked him, and he shook his head. “Not anymore, Jeffery insists that those in rankings either live in the castle or close by,” Emily looked around the small home. “My mom is head of the maid staff in the castle,” “Thelma?” “Yeah, have you met her?” he asked her and she nodded, smiling. “Yes, she is quite a firecracker,” Emily replied and Peter laughed. “That she is,” he led her into the kitchen and opened the fridge. “Do you want some juice?” “Sure, thanks,” Emily wasn’t surprised that the home was neat and tidy. She wondered if he had any siblings and she voiced her question. “I have an older sister, but she mated with another wolf from another pack about six months ago,” although he looked happy, Emily could pick up on his sadness. “Do you miss her?” “Every day, my sister, Kylie, you’d like her. She always lit up the room and made everyone laugh,” Emily liked the sound of her and wondered if her sisters would miss her. Peter handed her a glass of orange juice and Emily asked him the question that had been on her mind throughout their tour. “Are you going to tell me what’s going on?” “Emily, I want nothing more than to tell you, but it’s not my place,” “Why?” “It's not my story to tell, however, I will tell you to be careful,” “Of?” “Jenny,” Peter scowled as he said her name and Emily frowned. What was he hiding? She asked herself as she sipped her juice. Peter was telling her about his childhood, and she couldn’t help but giggle. It certainly sounded like a lovely upbringing.   Peter entertained her for the rest of the day. He had finished the tour of the village; she had met some wonderful wolves and pups. The pack was welcoming and friendly. Emily felt right at home and stopped feeling unsure and scared. They had lunch at the hostel, where Peter explained that those that didn’t want to go up to the castle to eat, would eat there. It had a very similar vibe as the previous day at the castle during lunch and Emily enjoyed every moment of it. He escorted her back to Carl’s quarters later that afternoon. “See you at dinner,” he said before leaving her. Emily smiled at him, watching him leave. She liked Peter and they were becoming fast friends. She entered the room, wondering where Carl was. She found it empty and sighed in disappointment. She decided to take a shower and change for dinner. Emily stripped and got into the shower, the warm water relaxing her as she sang some random song. When she stepped out of the shower, she screamed and grabbed the towel, quickly wrapping it around herself. “Relax my little mate,” Carl teased as he looked her up and down. Emily was blushing so hard as she looked at him shyly. He came towards her and she tensed up. “I’m not going to hurt you,” he whispered as he took her into his arms. Immediately Emily felt the tingles vibrate through her body at his touch, she gazed up at his lips, remembering the kiss they had shared in the library and that morning in the bed. She wanted him to kiss her again and she leaned up and he seemed to understand as his lips came crashing down on hers. Emily heard him moaned against her lips and she melted in his arms. She felt him gently tugging at the towel and although she was feeling hot and excited by his kiss, she was shy. She tried to grab it as he threw the towel to one side. “Sshh my little mate,” he whispered before claiming her lips in another passionate kiss. He slipped his tongue into her mouth and she whimpered at the feelings he was creating. Emily reached up, no longer caring about being naked and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer to her. When he gently pulled away, she was disappointed and gave him a sad look but to her amazement, he took off his clothing and stood naked before her. She looked up and down his strong well-toned body and shyly glanced away at seeing his hardness. He grinned at her as he stepped into the shower, pulling her in with him. “I want you to shower with me every morning and every night, understand my little mate?” he told her, and she nodded. He turned on the water and slowly began to soap her body. Emily had just showered but she didn’t say anything as he seemed to be enjoying himself. She couldn’t complain either as his hands roamed all over her body. She felt aroused as he washed her breasts, teasing her as he kissed her cheek. When he went down to her private place, she hesitated, and he smiled softly at her. “Trust me, I won’t hurt you,” he whispered, and she slowly parted her legs. As he touched her, she felt the heat flow through her body. He tenderly touched her, and Emily couldn’t help but moan out at how wonderful it felt. She could feel how he opened her up and she let out a small whimper as he rubbed over her love button. “Wash me, my little mate,” he told her, his voice thick with desire, as he handed her the soap. He didn’t remove his hand nor stop the small circular movements. Emily took the soap from him and began to gently soap his body. She hesitated as she got lower and he wrapped his hand around her wrist, guiding her down until she felt his hardness, she gasped at its size and length, but he encouraged her to place her hand around him. They were breathing hard and didn’t notice as the water began to cool over their heated bodies. Carl lifted her leg to tease and play with her better as she stroked him. She cried out when the sudden heat exploded and her body shuddered, he placed his hand over hers, hurrying her movements until he too moaned out in pleasure. They stood breathing hard as Emily gazed up at him. He kissed her softly and rinsed her, making sure she was soap-free. When he was satisfied, he rinsed himself, never breaking eye contact with her, he shut off the water and stepped out. He reached out for her and she eagerly went into his arms. “You are mine,” he said, and she smiled up at him. “Mine,” she replied as he kissed her quickly before wrapping her up in a towel. He led them back into the room and took his time in drying her body. Although she could feel her arousal roaring back to life, she wasn’t sure how to respond. He dried himself and went over to the closet, as she watched him dress, she felt happy at having such an affectionate mate. When he was dressed, he looked at her and smiled. “As much as I adore seeing you naked, you may want to get dressed for dinner,” she blushed at his words and quickly went to him. Grabbing a long-sleeved sweater and slacks, she got dressed. He watched her and although she still felt shy at his gaze over her body, she realized that she also felt comfortable around him. Once dressed, he took her hand and led her to the dining hall. Already wolves were seated around eating and she blushed as some turned to look at them. “Over here!” Peter called out and they joined him. Emily blushed as Carl waited for her to sit down before he did. - Carl could smell her arousal and he grinned. She was so shy and beautiful and the shower they had shared hadn’t been planned but he had enjoyed it. When he had entered the room and realized she was taking a shower, his desire overtook any common sense and now thinking back he was happy he hadn’t been rational. She was a willing lover and he knew he was going to enjoy making her scream. “Carl?” he looked up at the sound of Jenny’s voice. “Yeah?” he asked as he quickly glanced over at Emily. She was laughing at something Peter had said and he looked back up at Jenny. “Can we talk?” she asked him softly. Carl looked down at his plate and groaned. He wasn’t done eating and he was hungry. “Later,” he told her as he continued eating. He could feel Emily’s eyes on him as he tried to hide the shame he was feeling. “And so, then I ran as fast as I could, trying not to fall,” he listened to the story Peter was telling Emily and she giggled. “Did you?” she asked him teasingly and Peter nodded. “I hit the ground so hard, I was lights out,” they burst into laughter and Carl smiled, shifting closer to her. She didn’t move away, and he felt relieved. He was going to kill Jenny for creating this difficult situation. When he was done eating, he sat back and watched Emily eat and talk with Peter. “Carl?” he heard her in his head, and he tried not to growl out loud. “What is it?” he asked her. “Please, I need to talk to you,” she begged. Carl leaned closer to Emily and felt her shiver. “I’m going for a run, catch you later my little mate,” he kissed her cheek and she blushed. He nodded at Peter and got up. “Where?” he asked her. “Our usual spot,” came her quick reply. Carl made his way into the forest and ran to the old treehouse. The treehouse had been Jeffery’s clubhouse when they were children, no one used it anymore as it was rundown. When he and Jenny became a couple, they fixed it up a bit and used it as their love haven. Jenny hated it but Carl loved being outdoors. He quickly climbed up and found her sitting on the pull-out couch. “What is it, Jenny?” Carl questioned. “How are things going with miss goody two shoes?” “Don’t do that,” he warned her. “Do what?” “Be a b***h,” he said simply. He disliked it when she was rude, and he had fought with her about it on numerous occasions. “I’m sorry, it’s just, I am so jealous!” she erupted. “Jenny, I broke up with you, two months ago. Emily is my mate and I deserve to be happy,” he softened his tone as he spoke to her. “But Carl, I can make you happy,” “You do, you did, but I mean, she’s my fated mate,” he argued and turned away from her. “Fated or not, you know I can make you happy,” she whispered, he shook his head and turned to look at her. His mouth dropped open as he saw she had taken off her dress that she’d been wearing. “Jenny, what are you doing?” “Take me, Carl, take me here on this couch as you have done so many times before,” Carl groaned out, he was male and she was sexy as f**k. He took a step towards her and then abruptly stopped. His wolf was fighting him and was soon in full control. He wolfed out and Jenny fell back on the couch in surprise. Carl’s wolf jumped out and ran like hell.
