Emily sat with Peter in the living room watching a movie. The evening had been full of unnecessary drama and she didn’t quite understand what was going on, but someone was trying to sabotage her relationship with Carl and the pack.

“Did you really think I could be that cruel?” she asked him. He switched off the tv and turned to look at her.
“Emily, Carl, and Jeffery are like brothers to me, I love them, and I care about them. It wasn’t that I thought you would be cruel, it was more about my brother being hurt,”
