Mom and dad were already gone by the time I decided to go for my morning jog. I assured them that I would help out after my run. I followed the path that my dad always uses when he goes for a run. Down the road from our house, past the lighthouse, next to the shore and you finish at the gym. I was running alongside the shore when I noticed a familiar broad shoulder male jogging in front of me. I know that he was in top shape and can run out of this beach without any sign of struggles. I don’t even want to start to imagine what he had to go through to become a SEAL. Last night was the first time, since I got back from Boston, that we actually talked and acknowledged the problem between us. We haven’t completely talked about why we fell apart and why he left but we were getting there. Dad
