Ember didn't know what happened after she took the flower. She just realized she's walking with Drake towards the school main gate. She was even more surprised that their guard didn't even speak or stop them, instead he patted Drake on the shoulder and smiled at him too! As they walked towards the car, Ember couldn't help but feel a mix of frustration and curiosity. She yanked her arm away from Drake's and gave him a skeptical look. "An out-of-school date? Seriously, Drake? What makes you think I'd want to go on a date with you, especially when you've turned me into some kind of elegant princess against my will?" Ember's eyes narrowed, her annoyance resurfacing. Drake, who seemed unaffected by Ember's glare, flashed his charming smile. "Come on, Ember. Think of it as an adventure! Plus, don't you appreciate the effort I put into this?" He gestured to his well-groomed appearance and the flower he held. Ember crossed her arms, clearly unimpressed. "Effort? More like a high-handed decision to transform my day into an unreal Cinderella story. And by the way, I didn't agree to any of this. I expect you to explain, Drake." Drake sighed, his grin fading slightly. "I might have wanted to impress you. And maybe I got a bit carried away. But admit it, you do look stunning. Besides, who wouldn't want to spend an evening with someone as charming as me?" He winked, attempting to lighten the mood. Ember rolled her eyes. "Charming? More like overconfidence. And looks aren't everything, you know. It's about consent and respecting boundaries." She even sighs violently to show her annoyance. What does Drake think her reaction will be to what he did to her, happy and thrilled? Not all women would appreciate this kind of approach and being invited on a date just like that. She just realized her wolf side seems to have completely taken over because she doesn't know how she ended up letting Drake drag her out of her room looking like this. Drake scratched his head, trying to find the right words. "I get it, Ember. I messed up. I should've asked you first. But now that we're here, can we at least try to enjoy the evening? I promise I'll make it up to you." "And how are you going to do that?" She asked. Testing him. But Drake just shrugged his shoulders. "I'll know when we're there. That's why I asked you out, to get to know you better." "Do we need to come to the point where we have to get to know each other? We're not a real couple, remember?" "I know. Look, I'm just being a gentleman here. Those paws there still doubting our relationship so–" Ember looked at where Drake's eyes were pointing. There, she saw Aurora and her other friends. Probably peeking out to watch her and Drake. Ember sighed, her anger softening slightly. "Fine, but this better be the most amazing, respectful, and boundary-conscious date I've ever been on, or you'll regret it." Drake grinned, relieved that Ember was willing to give him a chance. He wouldn't help but smile. Now he wants to thank the fact that Aurora's group always keeps an eye on them, for sure, they are the reason why Ember agreed to go on the date with him.. "Deal. I'll do my best to make it a night you won't forget," he said while smiling mischievously. Drake opened the door for her, Ember was surprised to see Nyx in the driver's seat. Drake sat beside her and put his arms around her shoulders which she immediately removed. "Hey, calm down, it's just my arms!" Drake exclaimed. "Will you behave, Drake?! There's your friend right here." "It's alright, I see nothing." Nyx said while grinning. "So, are we ready?" He added. Drake turned to her and asked, "Are we?" Ember rolled her eyes, it's obvious Drake was having fun annoying her. "Yeah, but you have to remember, Drake, one wrong move, and you might find yourself facing my inner wolf." Drake, trying to play it cool, responded with a mock shiver. "Noted. I promise I won't awaken the beast within you unless you want me to." Ember raised an eyebrow, intrigued despite her earlier annoyance. "And when exactly would I want you to do that?" Drake winked again, his confidence fully restored. "Well, who knows? Maybe I'll surprise you. After all, every princess needs a charming werewolf by her side, right?" Ember rolled her eyes again but couldn't suppress a smile. "You're pushing your luck, Drake. Let's just see how this evening unfolds." As they arrived at the restaurant, Ember couldn't help but feel a mixture of amusement and exasperation at Drake's antics. The restaurant was a fancy, candlelit place with a romantic ambiance, and she couldn't deny that it was a nice choice for a date. Drake, ever the charmer, pulled out her chair for her, and she sat down reluctantly. Throughout the dinner, Drake continued his playful banter, trying to impress her with his wit and humor. He shared funny stories, made terrible puns, and even attempted a magic trick with a spoon and fork, which didn't go as planned. While nyx, the ever-patient driver and best friend of Drake, decided to stay in the car alone. He doesn't want to become a third wheel anyway. As dessert arrived, Drake leaned in, his eyes twinkling mischievously. "You know, Ember, they say sharing dessert can be quite– intimate." He gestured towards the decadent chocolate cake they were about to indulge in. Ember raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying into his charm offensive. "Intimate? Drake, we're sharing a dessert, not a secret rendezvous. Keep it classy." Drake chuckled, undeterred by her response. "Alright, alright, no need to be so serious. Let's just enjoy the dessert then, shall we?" He cut a small piece of the cake and offered it to Ember, his gaze never leaving hers. Ember sighed, unable to suppress a small laugh. "Fine, let's enjoy the dessert." She accepted the bite, and they continued their meal, with Drake trying his best to balance his playful nature with a semblance of sophistication. As the night progressed, Ember found herself surprisingly entertained by Drake's antics. Despite his initial overbearing behavior, he managed to make her laugh and even forget about her earlier frustration. Maybe, just maybe, there was more to Drake than being an annoying male wolf. And so, the evening continued, filled with laughter, witty remarks, and the occasional eye roll from Ember. Who knew that an unexpected, annoyingly charming werewolf could turn a frustrating situation into an unexpectedly enjoyable night? As they were heading back to the school, Nyx suddenly open up about Ember's Fondness for Mathematics. Ember discovered that just like her, Nyx was excellent and passionate about math. In no time, they found themselves happily discussing math problems such as exponents and dimensions, impossibility theorems, and many others... When Drake cleared his throat, that's when they noticed he seemed out of place. Ember and Nyx stopped talking, leading to an awkward silence between the three of them. Until Drake escorted her to her room, he didn't speak to her again. His chatter disappeared, and the atmosphere suddenly turned cold. "Hey, what's wrong with you?" Ember couldn't help but asked. But Drake sighs. "Nothing," he answered. Ember felt there's something wrong but she chose not to make a debate with him. It's a long night and they were both tired. "Alright, good night, then." She responded. "Is that it?" Suddenly, Drake said with a mid-high tone. Ember's eyebrow frowned due to confusion. "What?" "I'm angry, I felt furious and all you're going to say was good night?!"
