Julian's pov
The moment he mentioned another girl, tears rolled down my eyes. I couldn't hold back my tears anymore.
“You have another girl?” My sobbing voice repeated the words.
He nodded his head.
“Stop crying, little one!” His fingers brushed through the tears on my cheeks.
“You will soon move on from me and find a very good guy. This is just a mere attraction, so move on!”
The shattered of my heart reached my ears and my world was shaken completely.
Kyren Maddox rejected my confession!
All these years of one-sided love and it took him five minutes to reject my confession.
Attraction? No, it was love!
I thought he was never involved with girls but who knew he was hiding a girlfriend. If only he had mentioned her.
“There's something else.” He spoke.
“Well…I am leaving for New York in two weeks. The best publishing company there selected my application and they wanted me to start as soon as possible.” His husky voice mumbled.
“You're not coming back?”
My soul panicked.
“No!” He answered.
So that's what he wanted to tell me!
He patted my head.
“Let's just pretend nothing happened and move on with our lives. You will always be my little sister.” A pure smile glinted on his lips.
*Deep breath
“Your girlfriend lives in New York?”
My mind was curious.
He nodded his head.
I couldn't speak anymore…it felt like someone took away my most precious thing before my eyes.
He was never mine, to begin with!
A few minutes later, a cab that Kyren booked for me arrived, and we parted ways forever.
Everything was destroyed!
After the rejection, I couldn't bring myself to tell him the truth about that night. It was just a drunken mistake for him.
The entire cab ride, my eyes cried like crazy, and even the driver was concerned.
“Are you okay?”
“Do you need help with something?”
My head dropped to my palms and I continued crying till we reached in front of my house.
Mom opened the door for me and her eyes widened at my condition.
“Joly?”
“What's wrong with your face?”
My eyes were swollen and my makeup was smudged. She grabbed my wrist, pulled me inside, and locked the door.
It was just my mom.
Dad was out of town for business and Noah was in practice.
She made me perch on the couch next to her and held either of my palms. Her forehead wrinkled with worry.
“What happened, sweetie?”
“You went to the amusement park with your friend, right?”
“Why are you in this condition?”
Jenna Reinhart, my mom, was always the closest to me, and my lips could never keep a secret from her.
The first secret that I ever kept from her was…Kyren Maddox!
“Tell me, please?”
“What happened?”
“Did you get into a fight with your friend?”
My chest was tightened and my mom was asking for answers. She was worried and I was heartbroken.
Tears rolled down my eyes again and my arms wrapped around her neck.
“Mom”
“It's hurting a lot.”
“It's hurting so much!”
Her palm reached my brown hair whereas her free hand started rubbing my back.
“Where is it hurting?”
“Let me call the doctor, okay?”
“My heart is hurting, mom.”
Silence replenished the air and only the sound of my cry filled the room. Mom didn't ask me anything after that. It was enough for her to know that her daughter's heart was broken.
She just embraced me in silence!

Three weeks later…
Kyren left and he didn't even contact me before leaving. Noah went to see him off and I only stared at the sky from my bedroom’s window.
One month passed by but Kyren never contacted me!
That's how my first love came to an end.
My head was dizzy all the time and I started vomiting often. Mom took us to the nearest hospital and the doctor asked me one simple question…” when did you have your last period?”
I was shocked!
My last period was two months ago and with everything going around, it slipped out of my head.
Mom widened her eyes.
“Answer the doctor, Julian Reinhart!” She raised her voice a little and fear crawled over my skin.
*Gulp
“Two months ago!” My trembling voice spilled the words.
The doctor sighed.
“Your daughter is pregnant.” She muttered in a stressful tone.
Mom couldn't believe her words. It was a huge shock for her, and so was for me. I never thought an unexpected pregnancy would change my life forever.
After coming out of the hospital…
Mom stopped in front of our white car. Her eyes darkened and she crossed her arms on her chest.
“Julian Reinhart”
“Explain yourself, right now!”
My fingers tightly clutched either side of my dress bottom.
“Mom”
“That's…”
My lips couldn't say it.
“Who is the father?” She questioned.
I never slept with anyone except Kyren Maddox. He took my virginity and doesn't even remember our night.
He was the father of my unborn baby!
Kyren was gone and was probably enjoying his life in New York with his job and girlfriend.
“WHO IS THE FATHER?” Mom raised her voice at me…for the first time.
“He was here for a few days.”
Mom slapped my cheek.
“You had a one-night stand with a stranger who was here for a few days!” She was ashamed of me.
“Do you even know anything about him?” Her strong grip clutched either of my shoulders.
“Nothing!” My lips mumbled in pain.
"Is he the guy you were crying for that night?" Her brow twitched.
My head nodded.
Tears rolled down her eyes and she hugged me tightly.
“How could you be so foolish?”
Kyren never felt the same about me and it didn't seem right to drag him into this mess against his will.
He had someone else!
The doctor said an abortion was risky for my life and it was a better choice to give birth than take such a risk.
Mom looked into my eyes…
“You have to drop out of school.”
