Unraveling

"You disrespectful mutt" said mom as she pushed me on the floor.

"What did you do to my daughter? Richard should have never brought you here"

"Mom she pushed me to the floor" cried Amelia.

"But Mom, I didn't do it" I tried defending myself.

"I am not your mother you freak. I could never be a mother to a freak like you. You're not even a wolf. You will sleep outside tonight. Get out of my house"

"Where would i go? I can't stay outside Mom, please. Alexa, tell Mom I didn't do anything." I begged.

Amelia continued crying making Mom hit me on my head and my world went black.

I was transported to a beautiful valley surrounded by water and a lot of flowers.

Am I dreaming? Where am I? How did I leave the house?

"Accalia." a voice behind me called.

Accalia? Where have I heard that name before?

I turned around to find out where that voice was coming from. I saw a beautiful woman with silver hair smiling down at me. She had an array of moons surrounding her head. Her beauty was unlike anything I've ever seen. She looked like she was from another realm.

"Look in the water," she said to me.

I walked to the water and what I saw shocked me to my bones.

Looking back at me was a wolf. A wolf with a pure white coat, as white as snow.

How's this possible?

I have a wolf? But how?

A lot of questions ran through my head.

The silver-haired woman stood beside me while I was looking at my reflection.

"So many questions my child."

"You do not have a wolf" she continued.

Am I seeing images? There was obviously a wolf in the place where my human body was supposed to be.

"Yes. You see a wolf in the water but you don't have a wolf for you my child are a wolf. You are one and the same." she continued.

Mom must have hit my head really hard. Firstly, I was seeing a wolf instead of my human body and now this lady is saying I'm a wolf. I couldn't help but feel confused.

She smiled and began to speak again.

"Let me tell you a story. Long ago before men became wolves, the eternals ruled the realms. They kept the world in balance and protected the realms from threat and danger. The leader of the externals had a daughter -Luna. She was ruler of the moon. After Lumos the ruler of the sun kept watch over the realm throughout the day, Luna directed the moon to give peace and rest at the end of the day. Evil quickly took rise in the hearts of the externals and they began to attack their leader's creation-men, for it was said that in them, the leader of the externals placed the source of his power. Men were hunted at night while at rest from the day's work by the Eternals. Seeing the evil that had befallen his creations, the leader of the externals -Czar commanded his daughter to give men the power of the moon to defend themselves from the great evil that had begun to manifest. Luna gave men the power to turn to creatures at night. The men were able to become werewolves, half wolf and half man. They had two personalities and were able to beckon on their powers when needed. But while she created the werewolves, she took away a piece of their souls and hid them amongst themselves. Their souls were only going to be complete when they found the other hidden part in what is to be called their "mates." This enabled them to keep their humanity even while they were wolves. The werewolves fought against the externals with the power of the moon and were able to defend themselves. One of the externals named Hedrick who was as cunning as a snake made Luna fall in love with him and they had a son. Hedrick took their son away and trained him to be a deadly weapon for he had the power of the moon and was able to turn to wolf. Their son was named Evan. He joined the eternals in killing the wolves and soon became feared. Seeing the bloodshed, Luna cursed him with the wanderer's curse. He was to never find love and peace and always wander the world unloved. Luna still loved her son and couldn't bring herself to kill him so she blessed one of her creations. From his line was to come the one to end the life of Evan, The black wolf. Luna disguised herself as a young maiden and came down earth. She fell in love with a wolf and mated with him to give birth to a daughter. Her daughter was blessed with her powers. She hid the other half of the black wolf's soul with her daughter for she was to be his mate. Her powers were to be fully activated once she was mated to the black wolf."

I was dumbfounded with this revelation but what does that have to do with me being covered in white fur.

She reached for my forehead and planted a kiss on it.

"The timing is near my dear. Go home and prepare for what is coming" she said.

She placed another kiss on my head.

I woke up to voices around.

"Is she dead?"

"I did not hit her that hard."

"Mom. You could be in trouble if the Alpha found out that you killed her. We could be banished from the pack and i would miss the ball and never find my mate" a voice I recognized as Amelia's.

I groaned while holding my head in pain.

"Oh, you're awake. Hurry up and finish dinner. We're starving" Amelia said as she left.

Mom looked at me in disgust as if disappointed that I was alive and followed behind Amelia.

Was I dreaming?

Who was that lady and what was she talking about?

I looked down at myself and I saw I was human unlike in my dream.

First, the wounded wolf I saw earlier, then the voices, and now this.

What is happening to me?

I had questions that had no answers.

I sighed and steadied myself to begin making dinner before I got hit again. I felt a burning on my forehead and I splashed some water on my face paying more attention to my forehead to get some relief.

"Rose!!! Where's our dinner?"

I quickly went back to preparing dinner but the questions I had which are being left unanswered still hung over my head like a fog.
