I watched Rose through the rearview mirror as she stood in front of the pack house. She was waving to me goodbye and I had no choice but to wave back.
I smiled as I remembered how she pouted when I told her I was attending the Alphas meeting and I wouldn't be back till the next day. It took all the willpower I could muster not to kiss her pouted lips there and then. She asked to come with me but I didn't want her close to those snobbish old Alphas. I didn't want her to see how I reacted to their stupid words as they didn't fail to remind me of how I killed my father during the Alpha challenge. I was so in love with her and I blurted it out to her right there at the training field. Her eyes were as wide as saucers as she took in my words unsure of what to say.
