Lucas was searching my body for something. I was embarrased that he saw the bite that Orcas had given to me.
Lucas seemed upset, confused.
" Kennedy who is your Lord and master?" He whispered only to me.
Very suddenly and out of nowhere June bug seemed to come floating over to Lucas.
She knelt down in front of him. She kissed his ring.
" Master." She smiled.
I felt very creeped out.
Lucas frowned and shot an angry look at me.
" Kennedy was your sister in your bed last night?" He asked me.
" Yes, I saw you two together, I'm sorry. I wasn't spying, I was just too hot and needed to change my pajamas."
I knew everyone adored her, I felt a bit dissapointed that Lucas had succumbed to her charms as all the others do.
I saw the look of horror on his face. I was confused. He thought she was me?
" Kennedy I thought that was you, she smelled like you, she was in your bed. Do you know what you've done?" He was livid at me. His anger was palpable.
I got scared so I left quickly, I decided to run home. It was a horrible night so far.
I just stepped outside to find a way home, I was stopped cold by Howle's sister.
Rena stood in front of me, all 6 foot of her. She was growling at me.
I took a step to move around her.
She motioned to two large men to grab me, they took me up to the front of the stage and pulled me up in front of everyone.
Rena got everyone's attention then.
" Ladies and Gentlemen, your attention please. This is the moment we've waited for for centuries."
She turned to me and smiled, then slapped my face, very hard. "Ah, what the f**k?" I grabbed my cheek.
I looked at her with confusion. I didn't understand all of her anger then. I do now. But then I was so naive.
She reached for my gown, ripping it open. My breasts were now exposed to all of them.
I stared down, horrified.
She grabbed my key and yanked it off of my neck. The choker I wore over my neck came loose as well. It crashed to the floor in pieces.
The whole assembly gasped seeing my key.
" This night is the night we all have waited for our whole lives." Rena held up my key.
Everyone there cheered. They were chanting. "Blood lust, revenge, blood lust revenge!"
I was suddenly picked up and held in the air by the two men next to me, they were about to throw me into the crowd. I looked for help, no one seemed to be on my side.
A loud crash onto the stage disrupted everyone.
I saw all of the stolen relics then, the jewels, the crests, the insignias, the weapons.
They were all on the stage next to me. Orcas was standing over them with his thick arms crossed over his chest, legs apart.
He yelled," Silence! Everyone!"
He told the men to put me down, then took off his suit jacket and covered my nakedness. "I got you, you're safe, I didn't expect you to come tonight." He whispered, then turned to the angry crowd.
" I want you all to understand, this woman, she has come to me in an act of repentance, and act of good faith.
She, Kennedy Starling, ancestral relation to our sworn enemies has returned every last item that has been lost to us all for all these years."
" Kill her, kill her, kill her." they all chanted as they started to advance the stage to get to me.
Robby jumped onto the stage.
" Kill me to get to her!" He yelled as he stood in front of me, arms wide, protecting me.
Rena gasped. "Robby no!"
" He doesn't know what he's saying." She pleaded, embarassed.
Orcas picked me up in his arms.
" No Robby, no need to die son. Miss Starling has given us our heritage back, in return I am making her my wife. We have consummated, it is done!" He yelled loudly.
Everyone was outraged. "She burns, she's a witch!" they yelled.
I was in total shock. Orcas pulled out a large diamond ring from his pocket, he put it on my finger.
He handed me the wolf head ring with the ruby eyes.
"Put this on my finger, do it now." He said.
I slid it onto his finger, it fit perfectly.
He pulled out some papers from his pocket, " Sign it!" He said.
I took the quill pen and signed blindly, tears clouding my vision.
He signed it then too.
He poked my index finger with the end of the pen and then his, it was a pact sealed in both of our blood. He suckled my finger afterward.
" Sorry love." He said. His eyes were soft, the color like marbled brown.
" It is done, our houses are united by the order of the Lycan." He cried.
Did he say Lycan, like werewolves? I think I am going crazy. I hid my face in his shoulder. My mind was going insane.
He carried me to his table and sat down with me to attend the auction.
Just like nothing happened, like I wasn't almost killed.
" I...I... I...need to go, I c..c.c. can't stay here, my dress is open, I'm affraid."
He held my chin and kissed my lips gently.
" My wife has no one to fear. None. I am going to protect you my love, do you love me?" He kissed me again.
" I I I don't understand any of this." I admitted.
" It's meant to be Kennedy, I believe you are my fated mate. I don't want a witch as a wife, but I do want you. Promise you won't put a spell on me and kill me?" He smiled, he was teasing me.
I was in deep shock from almost being throw to the wolves. Literally, but I didn't know that then. I wasn't ready for the mood to lighten.
My sister appeared next to my side, she hissed at Orcas.
" We are over, you and I. You join my enemy now, I belong to the house of Moore, you to the heathen clan of Lycans.
Enemy of my Master, enemy of me sister. Rot in dog filth!" She spit on me, wounding me worse than any other had done ever in my whole entire life. I wiped her spit off my face.
Lucas came over to me, seeing June's actions.
He nodded at Orcas. "This is far from over, unfortunately, my coven killed Serena, how much more will they desire the head of this one, one you truly love?"
He shook his head and kissed my hand.
Lucas spoke kindly, softly. "I will take care of June. Pay no mind to her words, she needs time to adjust to her new life.
We will see you after the auction. Please, don't push me away, Adele Starling was my love, you too are in my heart Kennedy, I promise, I will do my best to save you."
Orcas smiled," Isn't that sweet, words of love for my own wife." He was jealous? I don't know, maybe.
I clung to my new husband. He slapped his hand on my shoulder possessively, I cried out.
He frowned, then looked at my shoulder wound. It was infected, red and swollen.
" I...oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to do this to you Kennedy. I will get the doctor to visit you at my home tonight." He kissed my shoulder. " I'm so sorry."
" My passion for you is barely in control. I really am very, very sorry Red." He looked at me like Clover had done. He wanted me to pet him.
I put my shaky hand out, then looked at his eyes as I touched his chest. " I...I..ffff forgive you."
" f**k!" I exclaimed, my damn stuttering.
Robby came and sat next to me, arms crossed over his chest. He was protecting me.
" f**k!" Robby repeated me.
Orcas raised a brow, Robby was my protector now too? This pleased Howle, I could tell.
Rena sat next to Orcas.
" You sealed your own fate now and hers, the Moores will get her anyway. If you had done things my way, you would be our Alpha now, idiot."
Orcas placed his hand over his sister's. " I am the Alpha, at least of my family, don't worry, I have a few plans." He frowned at Rena's nasty attitude.
I started to shake, involuntarily.
I was very sick. The wound was festering. I took Robby's hand.
" Please, take me home Robby."
