!14. Lucas comes to fetch Vega Rob.

I stared at Lucas as he stared at me. I felt an instant reconnect to him.
I love you wife, I heard him in my mind.
He showed me pictures of us making love on top of a cloud.
It was a very long time since he had done that to me.
I looked away, it made me sad to have been away from him, the way he and Rena had grown so close, without me.
I took his hand and turned away from him pulling him into the room towards June.
" June, Elivs wants to see the baby."
She stood up and faced him.
I saw her kneel, holding the baby still. " Master." she said.
I took Sarah from her.
" Rise June, no need for that s**t anymore. Is this your new sister? I'm sorry to hear about Vanessa passing."
I wanted to tell him I missed him so much. I couldn't handle his intensity. I would have broken down sobbing.
I thought of Rob, what he told me about getting me stronger.
I knew Luke had loved me once, but I doubted it was even real now.
" Where is everyone else?" He asked looking around.
" Robby and Douglas went for food." June said.
" And the vampire that was with you?"
He knew about Rob.
" He isn't with our group anymore." I said quickly.
I was embarrassed to tell him what had happened between us.
Mainly because Lucas wasn't really a part of my life now and didn't really deserve to know anything. I mean we were no longer intimate.
He looked at June. "Where is Roberto Vegara?" He asked her now.
" We believe he was abducted by aliens in death valley." she said.
I smiled. She had my back.
" I see, well Robby will debrief me then when he returns." He said as he stared at my neck.
He was starving.
I held Sarah close to my chest. I couldn't give him what he needed.
Rena was his girlfriend now, despite her confession that they had purposefully pushed me away.
" June take the baby, now." He said.
She nodded and took Sarah to her room.
He took my arms and looked into my eyes.
" Feed me please." He was desperate.
" No" I said. " I'm not close to you like that anymore, you chose Rena remember?"
He sat down and put his hand on his heart.
" Ken, I swear that I never loved Rena like you, it was pure lust and you pushed us together.
You encouraged it. Besides you've had other lovers haven't you been with Robby and Roberto?"
I gave him my wrist.
He moved to prick me with his black nail. I said,"Bite me husband."
He showed me his fangs. " I...I can't. I need to be a vampire to kill my father."
I took his nail and sliced my own wrist. I looked away as he drank deeply from my wrist.
" I'm going to have an orgasm in my leather pants, you are so sweet my love." He admitted.
I felt woozy and drugged. It was way stronger than my reaction to Rob.
Lucas was like an old vintage wine that had time to age and became very potent.
He couldn't seem to stop. He was going in for more when the door opened. Robby and Douglas were back.
I slumped down into the couch and closed my eyes like a heroin addict.
" Hey look at you man!" Robby hugged Lucas.
Douglas shook his hand and then saw me slumped over on the couch.
He went to me and picked me up, carrying me to my bed.
" Rest a bit, I will bring you some food and water in a few minutes. Why do you let him take so much of you, can't he control himself around you?" he was perturbed.
I took his arm. " I'm okay, it's our way. I want him to have it all. He knows this. That's why he pushes it too far every time."
" Kennedy, you have a baby sister to look after now, you have to be alive to care for her."
" You know me so well Douglas. I have welcomed death many times before. There is a darkness in me isn't there?"
He kissed my head. " It is in all of us. Maybe you have a bit more than others because you let them bite you, there has to be an exchange somehow, I don't know really, just a thought."
" I see, so when a vampire bites me, I give them light and they give me dark. That's true I think. Well, keep an eye on me please. Right now, I want to sleep forever. I don't need food or water. Just cover me up."
" As you wish sister in law." He left me.
I leaned over and fell asleep.
When I woke up, Robby was next to me, reading on his phone.
" Oh, how long was I out?"
He looked at his watch. "Like 5 hours. Everyone went to bed. You want me to go get you some food?"
I smiled. "I'm fine Robby."
" Do you want to sneak out with me to get a drink in the bar. I'm craving red wine."
He nodded. " Let's do it, this will be fun."
He got dressed and sat behind me, brushing out my hair for me.
" You need clothes?" He asked.
" Do you have a t-shirt I can borrow?"
He handed me a clean shirt and I tied it on the side around my waist gathering it in tightly.
" Ok, let's go." He took my hand.
I stood up and my blood pressure dropped. I almost fell.
" I need you to lean on." I said.
He picked me up in his arms and carried me out the front door quietly.
" Any word from Rob, I hope he is okay. We should drive back and find him." I was so worried.
" Lucas left to get him. Howle sent him here to fetch him home."
" Robby, does he know that he is human now?" I hoped so.
" He does. I had to tell him everything, sorry aunt K."
It was for the best.
We went to the busy bar, Elvis' were everywhere.
Robby ordered me a red wine and some tapas.
He drank a beer. " Finish your food and I will let you play a bit."
He saw me watching everyone playing slot machines and having fun.
I nodded as I ate a mini taco. I drank my wine down and he ordered another for me.
We took it to a large cabinet slot that had reels and an old fashioned handle to pull.
He sat me on his lap and we played together. I smiled at his excitement over winning 20 bucks.
He was having a blast.
I was trying to let my mind go numb, my thoughts went to Lucas and Rob.
I was now connected to both men by their bites. I wanted to pretend that I was over Weston, but I would give up everything for him.
I started to sing that Scottish lullaby. It helped.
Robby took me to another casino. We watched so many Elvis' as they moved around the casino. Some were old, young, fat, or thin. I think a few were women.
We stayed for a few hours. Robby carried me back to our hotel. He leaned down and kissed me at the elevator.
" Try not to worry. I got you. I'm watching over you now." He said sweetly.
" I am glad Robby. I trust you completely." I was drunk now.
I ran my fingers in his open shirt.
" Robby, take me to bed, tell me about your dreams."
