I heard my sister screaming for me. I sat up in bed and woke Douglas. "Kennedy just cried out for help."
I went to find her, I searched the penthouse floor, then ran to the stairwell. I heard her breathing, someone was with her.
I ran back to Douglas. He said the others were gone, Robby and Lucas.
I told him to get the car and meet me out front.
He grabbed my neck and pulled me to his lips. "Don't die, I love you too much."
I nodded and flew out the window, soaring down, down, down as a hawk.
I swooped around the building, looking, listening.
I landed in the parking garage. I heard them talking about Weston.
There she was being pulled to a black car.
The man didn't know what hit him. I knocked him down and killed him at the same time, crushing his heart.
He wasn't human, but some form of monster, gargoyle maybe?
Kennedy had fallen back onto the pavement, seeing me she tried to run away.
" Stop, we go home together Kennedy. I will take you to Weston myself. I see he has goons everywhere. Where is Robby?"
" No June, Robby was stabbed. He went to the hospital. I can't be near you or Sarah.
They will kill you both, like Robby and Babette. Let me surrender to them, please. I can't let you die, I love you." She was crying, sobbing.
" Kennedy Starling remember who you are. You are not this scared baby before me, stand up now.
We are the Starling sisters of Castle Starling, decendants of MFing witches, now act like it damn it!"

I smiled then. " Remember who you are?"
" June, you are right I am a Mage, you are vampire, we will be strong woman together. Okay let's go get Robby and get out of here and end all this."
We went out front and got into the car, Douglas and Sarah were there already.
We drove quietly away. I filled Douglas in on what I knew.
He listened and nodded, all the while holding June's hand tightly. He let her drink from his hand.
" I'm going in to get him, be prepared to leave me if you must, don't worry, I will return to you both." June said.
She got out and disappeared.
We sat quietly for an hour. We were on high alert, mother baby was so good, as if she knew to behave.
Suddenly there was a hard rocking on top of the car, like we were hit by a boulder. Douglas screamed, I did too, Sarah cried.
" Sorry, I misjudged Robby's weight, a little help here!" June said from the roof of the car.
We both quickly got out and helped get and unconscious Robby into the back seat.
He had a fresh surgical dressing on his abdomen.
" I had to wait until he came into post op. He just had surgery. He's still out of it, and he's damn heavy too."
I lay his head on my lap. June took mother baby to the front seat with her to make room.
Douglas somehow crammed Robby's long legs into the car and shut the door.
I stroked his hair and washed his face with my hot tears.
Douglas drove us out of danger. We drove all night.
When the sun rose, June fell into a deep sleep, she was finished. Douglas tried to feed her, she was too tired.
He pulled into a hotel and got us an adjoining room.
We needed to get Robby inside, Douglas was good at moving large things, he borrowed a luggage cart and we pulled him onto it as gently as we could.
Douglas handed me Sarah. I fed her and changed her wet diaper. She fell asleep too.
I looked in on June, she was moaning in her sleep.
I was so worried about her.
" Doug, can I try to feed her?"
He nodded and smiled.
"She would really like that Ken."
Cutting my inner arm, I placed it to her mouth.
Her long lashes flew open as she latched onto my arm.
She was famished.
I became relaxed, I was feeling tipsy when she pulled back.
" Enough, enough June." She told herself.
I hugged her to me. " Thank you dear sister. I am so grateful to have you as my big sister."
She smiled, wiping her lips.
"Send Dougy to me now, I need s*x. It's our thing, keeps me from the blood lust." She giggled.
I left her and went to Robby. He was awake, sitting up and drinking water with Douglas' help.
He rubbed his head and blinked at me.
" You are okay aunt K? I was so worried they got you."He frowned, looking woozy.
" F*** no, they couldn't get me, I'm a powerful Mage with a bad ass vampire sister." I grinned.
" Speaking of my bad ass sissy, she needs you Douglas."
He put down the food he was preparing for Robby and left us both.
The walls were paper thin, we could here every moan, every orgasm and there were many.
" Damn, that is loud. They must really love eachother." Robby grinned at me.
I side hugged him and kissed his head.
" No straining now, you need time to heal." I reminded him.
His hand snaked up my leg.
" Robby!" I said smiling. He would be just fine.
We stayed at our tiny hotel for a week.
June tried to call Lucas. No response. I called Rena and told her about Robby.
She was mad, then cried, then laughed hearing his voice.
Daddy came on the line next.
" Ken, I miss you. I'm sorry I didn't tell you I was sick. I just couldn't let you be hurt like you were when mom died.
The good news is the doctors are setting me up for an advanced robotic surgery to remove the tumor.
I will be here for a few months for treatment. I have hope. Tell me how is Sarah doing, can I see her?"
I turned on the video. I showed him mother baby and how smart and pretty she is.
He was over joyed by this little girl.
" Take good care of my girl. Douglas and June will be good parents to her." I agreed.
Howle called me after daddy hung up.
" Red, I've been trying to reach you, I keep missing you. Please, tell me you are ok?" He was very worried.
I updated him on everything.
" So no word from Luke then?"
I sensed he wasn't telling me everything.
" Spill it Howle." I said.
" Lucas and I have become close, I'm worried about him over there without his lycan to protect him." he admitted.
I felt warm to my toes.
" Howle, I am more in love with you than ever." I smiled.
" I want you all safe, don't come home until Lucas finds you again, you will all fly back together. And Red, I am the big spoon, no matter what he tells you."
I felt more confident than ever.
If I stayed far away from Weston, his pull on me was diminished.
I was getting stronger and had the full support of my clan. I was Kennedy f*****g Starling after all.
That call from daddy and Howle really boosted my confidence.
I went to check on Robby.
He was up in the kitchen, walking around.
" I need to catch a rabbit or something, I feel caged in."
I smiled. "We could take a nap together." I offered.
" You sure?" he smiled excitedly.
" I just spoke to your mother and Howle, they want us to be close, it's the lycan way."
I took his hand and led him to my bed.
