Chapter Eleven The rustling of leaves and a cool draft blowing on Wilder’s back woke her. She groaned and turned over, pulling up the blanket that had slipped off her while she slept. It was the same every morning. Not long after sunrise, a wind arose that swept through the forest, agitating tree fronds, curving branches, and even setting the trees slightly swaying. The effect was a morning wake up comm, especially since there was a gap in a wall of Wilder’s tree home that let in a draft directly behind her. Each morning when the blast of cool air and noise of the moving forest would wake her up, she would resolve that plugging the gap would be the first thing she would do that day.
